Hotel Aston International secara resmi telah beroperasional dan menerima tamu.

Hotel yang dulunya sempat vakum hampir dua tahun ini hadir dengan mengusung konsep yang lebih lebih fresh, modern dan minimalis dengan kelengkapan fasilitas yang jauh di atas sebelumnya. Grand opening telah dilakukan tanggal 23 Juli 2011. Hotel bintang empat ini memuat 163 unit kamar yang tersebar pada 11 lantai. Untuk ruang hiburan dipusatkan di lantai tiga, termasuk kolam renang, arena olahraga atau fitnes dan ruang spa. Tipe room hotel ini terdiri dari deluxe, deluxe premier, junior suite, dan executive suite, masing-masing dilengkapi AC, LCD TV, WiFi, mini bar, safe deposit box, dan fasilitas lain disediakan di kamar. Sarana edutainment yang lengkap ini juga didukung akses di jalur strategis Palembang, yakni Jalan Basuki Rahmat yang menjadi salah satu kawasan pusat bisnis terbesar. My experience of staying at Aston hotel Palembang Sabtu 29 Oktober saya tiba di Palembang bandara dan karena saya telah dikonfirmasi Hotel Aston dua hari sebelumnya yang akan menjemput di bandara dan mereka mengatakan segala sesuatu adalah dalam rangka. Dengan 8 tahun putri saya yang benar-benar lelah dari penerbangan panjang dan tidak ada satu dari hotel menjemput kami dari bandara. Saya harus mendapatkan lain taksi carteran untuk membawa saya ke Aston. Ketika saya tiba di hotel, karena saya menunggu untuk check in, saya harus menunggu untuk berdiri lama dan ada penjelasan mengapa mereka harus membantu Dugaan lain yang datang setelah aku dan ingin check in pertama. Sebagian besar anggota staf masih sangat muda dan tidak ramah, Greating tidak ada atau curtesy dan mereka tidak peduli apa kebutuhan menebak. Ruangan yang baik dan sangat baik tetapi drain kamar mandi diblokir dan benar-benar menyenangkan untuk mandi di air melayang. Bagian lebih buruk adalah kolam renang buka dari jam 8 pagi sampai 6 sore, karena kami ingin berenang sangat awal atau lambat ketika kita kembali setelah kegiatan hari kami, tapi kami tidak bisa berenang karena kita biasanya tiba setelah pukul 6 sore setiap hari. Makanan yang sangat baik yang satu-satunya hal saya senang dengan.

SERVICES OFFERED

TECHNICAL SERVICES This period normally begins from two years to six months before the hotels soft opening. Our team of experienced professional can help avoid costly mistakes in the initial design stages of a project by reviewing designs and working with the architects and interior designers. During this period Aston also prepares Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) lists Operating, Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) lists. We will advise you on our recommended IT equiptment and configurations customized for your hotel. As well as this, Aston prepares pre-opening budgets and working capital projections, soft opening and grand opening budgets as well as one year to fifteen year projections.

PRE-OPENING SERVICES Following the Technical Services period, the pre-opening phase usually begins one year to six months before the soft opening date. During the pre-opening phase, Aston International prepares for the opening of the property and undertakes such tasks as competitor analysis, developing sales and marketing plans and collateral to sell the property, setting up websites, online reservation systems and connecting the hotel or resort to the Global Distribution System, recruiting, assembling and training the team which will run the hotel, setting up all the

departments and making sure all plans and actions run smoothly to ensure a successful opening on schedule and on budget. Aston International provides specifications for all equipment required as well as list of reputable vendors but does not provide the pre-opening purchasing service.

CENTRAL RESERVATIONS AND SALES SUPPORT Aston Internationals corporate office helps coordinate reservations and backs up the hotels own sales and marketing team. Our experienced team of industry professionals can lead the way in filling your hotel and help target the most profitable and lucrative niches in the market.

GDS SABRE, GALILEO, WORLDSPAN, AMADEUS All Aston International hotels are linked to Global Distribution Systems (GDS) which offer access and exposure to over 350,000 travel agents world wide. To do this as an individual hotel is expensive and complicated but as part of the Aston group you can make yourself available to the world.

INTERNET DISTRIBUTION Our full time Cyber Managers in Jakarta and Bali can help set up your web site, get you connected to the GDS system, setup your online reservation system and register your hotel with updated special offers and news on some of the worlds most visited travel sites. CHARLES BROOKFIELD President and CEO

Charles has over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry with the Aston Group. He has opened resorts in Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Valla Springs, Park City, San Francisco, Hawaii, Guam, Jakarta, and Bali.

Charley was instrumental in building the largest hotel chain in Hawaii and has been a pioneer in the industry, bringing the condotel concept to Indon Charley created Aston International in 1997 and has been living in Southeast Asia ever since.

JOHN M. FLOOD Senior Vice President


Coming from Ireland, John has worked for several years across Europe in many luxury hotels. He has been working in Indonesia for over 11 years, with 3 of those years as a General Manager in Bali. He received his MBA from the University of Leicester in England.

HERU PURWONO Vice President of Finance


Heru brings with him over 20 years of experience in hospitality industry in different parts of Indonesia. He was the financial controller with international brands such as Hilton, Intercontinental and Accor group prior to joining Aston. Heru oversees the finance divisions of all Aston properties

JULES BROOKFIELD Director of Technology


Graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Jules specializes in software development and internet related business. He is currently working to automate, integrate and standardize many aspects of our business to ensure that Aston International stays at the forefront of this digital age.

NORBERT VAS Vice President of Sales & Marketing


Norbert has more than 17 years of hotel industry experience in Indonesia, the USA, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Austria. His most recent positions have been: Director of Operations at The Intercontinental Bali Resort (Bali), General Manager at SwissBelhotel Golden Sand Resort (Vietnam), and Director of Sales & Marketing Mandarin Oriental (Jakarta, Indonesia).

LUKAS K. SAMALI Vice President of Human Resources


Lukas has gained over 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resource development from various international hotel chains in Indonesia and Singapore. Prior to joining Aston, he had several successful stints in Oberoi Resorts Indonesia, Jakarta Hilton International and at the Island Hideaway Resort, Republic of Maldives before finally becoming the Director of Hospitality Executive Search (HES) for its Indonesian Office.

TENAIYA BROOKFIELD Director of ECommerce


After receiving her Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington in 2006, Tenaiya joins us as the newest member to our executive committee, bringing fresh ideas and innovative online solutions for both hotel and villa ecommerce business strategies. Extremely detail oriented, her primary focuses are to increase online sales & marketing, design and maintain all brand websites, streamline our central reservations system, and monitor online customer satisfaction and feedback for property and service improvements. She travels across South East Asia to provide support, however she is based mostly in Bali and manages our Regional office there as well.
