PUBLIX MEAL PLAN MAR 14 20, 2012

MEAL #: Side dishes are in ITALICS INGREDIENTS: Side dishes are in ITALICS ( c all-purpose flour, 2 minced garlic cloves) 10 oz can beef broth ( c red wine) 2 T tomato paste ( t dried thyme, t salt, t pepper) 16 oz bag frozen pearl onions, thawed & drained 4 oz fresh sliced mushrooms 16 oz pkg egg noodles 12 oz pkg broccoli (salt, pepper) 1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix ( c balsamic vinegar, t Italian seasoning) (2 - 3 T vegetable oil) 4 - 6 pork chops 16 oz pkg whole green beans (Olive oil, salt, pepper) 1 box garlic bread sticks 14 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced thin 1 c finely chopped onion (2 T bottled minced garlic, 1 t cumin) (3 t chili powder, t oregano) 3 cans black beans Cooked brown or white rice 1 box cornbread 1 or 2 cans refrigerated pizza crust 1 bag spinach leaves (4 cloves garlic, minced) 2 sweet onions, sliced 8 oz sliced mushrooms (2 T butter, melted) 4 oz blue cheese 1 cantaloupe, sliced & chilled 3 - 4 lb broiler-fryer chicken ( c butter, melted) (1 t dried basil, 1 t dried oregano, 1 t dried thyme) ( t salt, t pepper) 16 oz bag cauliflower large onion, thinly sliced ( t fennel seeds, crushed) jar four cheese pasta sauce (Pepper) 1 pkg Parker house rolls 1 - 2 cans buttermilk biscuits 1 lb ground beef ( c ketchup, 1 T brown sugar) (1 t vinegar, t chili powder) 1 c shredded cheddar 12 oz pkg frozen corn 16 oz container deli coleslaw 3 c baking mix ( t salt) Zest of 2 oranges (1 c buttermilk, 1 c orange juice) (2 eggs, cooking spray) (1 bottle any flavor syrup) 1 pkg bacon Slice oranges that you zested

Crock Pot 1 lbs top round, cut into 1 cubes

Beef Burgundy Egg Noodles Steamed Broccoli

INSTRUCTIONS: Side dish ingredients are in ITALICS Heat lightly greased non-stick skillet over high heat. Add steak; saut 2 min. Reduce heat to med-high; cook steak 5 more min until browned. Drain. Whisk together flour, garlic, broth, wine, tomato paste, thyme, salt and pepper in crock-pot, stirring until smooth. Add steak, onions and mushrooms, stirring well. Cover and cook on HIGH 1 hour; reduce to LOW and cook 5 hours until meat is tender. Prepare noodles according to package directions. Serve meat over noodles. Steam broccoli and season to taste. In a small bowl, whisk together dressing mix, vinegar and Italian seasoning. Whisk in oil until combined. Arrange chops in shallow baking dish or zip top bag. Pour dressing mixture over pork and allow to marinate at least 30 min. Grill outside or on grill pan about 7 min per side until cooked through. Toss green beans with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place on cookie sheet and roast at 450 F for 10 - 15 min until slightly browned. Prepare bread according to package directions. In large soup pot, brown sausage and onion over medium heat. Add garlic, cumin, chili powder and oregano. In blender, puree one can of undrained black beans and add to soup pot. Add other 2 cans of beans, draining only one. Heat and simmer. Cook desired amount of rice according to package directions. Serve scoop of cooked rice with each serving of soup. Prepare cornbread according to package directions. Unroll dough onto sprayed baking sheet. Cut each rectangle into 4 quarters and spread into 6 x 5 rectangles. Top each rectangle with spinach. Saut garlic, onions and mushrooms in butter until slightly browned. Top each calzone with mushroom mixture and sprinkle with blue cheese. Bring 2 opposite corners to center, pinching to seal. Repeat with remaining 2 corners. Bake at 425 F for 12 min until golden. Serve cantaloupe on the side. Place cauliflower, onion, fennel and sauce in crock-pot. Cover and cook on LOW 6 - 7 hours or on HIGH 3 hours. Stir; sprinkle with black pepper. Place chicken, breast side up, in a shallow roasting pan. Combine butter, basil, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper. Brush chicken with butter mixture. Roast at 375 F 1 hours or until thermometer inserted in thigh reads 180 F. Prepare rolls according to package directions.

Press biscuits into lightly greased muffin tins. Brown beef; stir in ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar and chili powder. Spoon into muffin cups. Bake at 375 F for 15 min; sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 more min to melt cheese. Steam corn and season to taste. Serve with coleslaw on the side.

Combine baking mix and salt. Add orange zest, buttermilk, orange juice and eggs. Whisk until smooth. Spray a large non-stick skillet or griddle with cooking spray. Add batter in batches and cook pancakes. Keep warm in a 250 F oven. Top with syrup. Cook bacon until crisp. Serve pancakes with bacon and orange slices.
