Dr. F. Raymond Ortega, MD,FACS, Dr. F. Raymond Ortega, MD,FACS,

is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Division of Plastic Surgery and is the Director of the Columbia Wound Healing Program.

Case #2 Patient: 37 year old with pressure induced sacral wound. Patient treated with wound vac and pulse lavage.

Case #1 Patient: 81 year old with venous stasis ulcer. Patient treated with whirlpool baths and specialized medication.

Dr. Ortega has been the Division Chief of Plastic Surgery, State University of New York Downstate Medical Center; Director, Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn; Department Chairman and Managing Physician Partner, Department of Plastic Surgery, Meritcare Medical Group, Fargo, North Dakota.

Dr. Ortega is a highly decorated veteran who served in the First Gulf War and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
