GIANT INDOOR YARD SALEApril 21st at the Medford Senior Center from 10am to 2pm. Tables are available for $10.00. Yes it is time to do some spring cleaning, why not sell your old books, frames, and knick knacks that are collecting dust. (NO CLOTHING). We are accepting donations for the MCOA table. Drop off your treasures Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm. Healthy eating for successful living in older adults will be presented by Mystic Valley Elder Services beginning on April 26th. At 10:00am. This 6-week course is interactive and promises to provide you with solid information to assist you in lifestyle changes that can promote better health. The sessions are 2 hours, include a boxed lunch. Meal preparation and cooking demos are also a part of the program. Sign up today by calling 781-396-6010. Low Vision Support Group will meet on April 20th at 10:30am, new members welcomed. The Low Vision support group is sponsored by the Mass Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The group is for individuals who are losing their vision and would like to learn from and listen to others. Greater Medford Visiting Nurses Association sponsors a support group on Wednesday April 4th for people living with Parkinsons disease and other Movement Disorders from 10:30am to noon. Contact Marie Knasas GMVNA at 781-396-2633 ext 202. The group will meet at Medford Senior Center. Diabetes Support Group will meet April 26th at 11:00am. Diane Doucette, PRN, MSN, Certified Diabetic Counselor, please stop in, all new members welcome. Attorney John Donahue from Law for Life - Beginning 10:30am on April 17th, Attorney Donahue will be available for 15/20 minute free advice and or information. Reflexology with Jane Aire Beckwith, MsT AMTA certified and licensed will be offering reflexology on Monday April 9th and April 23rd. Reflexology provides deep relaxation on your hands or feet, strengthens immune system, and improves your health. Mondays from 12:30 to 2:30. Mass. Audiology will be at the Medford Senior Center on April 11th from 10am to 12noon for free screenings. Do you experience ringing or noises in your ears? Do you hear better with one ear than the other? Does it seem as if people are mumbling or not speaking clearly? If you answered yes, you should come down for a hearing test. Call 781-396-6010 to reserve your spot today. The Registry of Motor Vehicles will offer a free hour long presentation on May 8th at 1:00pm at the Medford Senior Center. Now is the time to Spring into YOGATime for a spring tune up? Time to stretch, flex and enjoy? The spring series of yoga classes will focus on stretching joints and muscles for more flexibility. We offer two classes on Monday afternoons.12:45pm class includes warm ups, standing postures for balance, and floor work for strength and flexibility. We also learn different relaxation techniques for stress management. This class is for those who are comfortable getting on the floor. If possible, bring a yoga mat and a pillow or blanket 2:00pm chair yoga class includes warm ups, standing and seated postures for balance and strength. We demonstrate modifications so that all can participate. We practice stress management techniques and laugh!10 week session will begin on April 2nd..Prepaid amount $25.00 or pay as you go for $3.00 per class

Salter Healthcare, Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center will be offering a senior cooking class and a Salmon Fillet Dijon luncheon April 12th. The van will depart from the Medford Senior Center at 11:40am. To make a reservation please call Beverly Stoebel, director of marketing at 781-994-2122. $2.00 donation fee is required and will be collected the day of the program. All donations will go directly to the Medford Senior Center. Available to the first 12 seniors. Future dates are May 10th, June 14th. Foxwoods only $25.00 per person, next departure April 16, tickets on sale now. Nonstop bus from Medford to Foxwoods. Bus will depart at 7:45am and leave Foxwoods at 4:30pm. Future dates May 21, June 18, July 16, August 20, Sept 17, Oct 22, and Nov 12th. The Full Monty at Stoneham Theatre Wednesday April 18th $30.00 per person for the ticket. Our van will depart from the senior center at 11:30am; you will have lunch on your own at one of the fine dining restaurants close to the theatre. The Show performance begins at 2pm.
