Materials: Situation pictures Computer with GarageBand program Steps: 1. Each partner choose one situation that s/he will describe, imagining that the events happened in the past. 2. Record your voices using GarageBand (see below for tutorial). 3. Insert colorful sound effects to make interesting. 4. Export your Project and save it to your nextwork folder 5. Give your dialogue a creative title in Spanish

Do not forget to: 1. Set the scene using weather and time expressions 2. Describe the setting 3. Describe ongoing actions in the past 4. Show interruptions of ongoing actions 5. State single, completed actions that happened in the past Assessment:
0 Comprehension of Content and Pronunciation 1 Explanation was difficult to follow. Speech was very choppy. Little attempt to pronounce correctly and/or poor pronunciation. A lot of verbal clutter (umm, ahh, etc). Did not answer the question. 2 3 Explanation was fairly easy to follow, but there were a few hesitations. Explanation included a basic beginning, middle, and end. Average pronunciation, with a few mistakes made. Some verbal clutter (umm, ahh, etc). Response answered the question appropriately. Necessary vocabulary was used in the explanation. Basic vocabulary and verb tenses were used correctly, though at times repetitious. Language was accurate but not advanced. A handful of minor and few major grammar errors were committed, most do not affect comprehension. 4 5 Explanation was easy to understand and very clear. It was complete with a beginning, middle, and end. Good pronunciation. Language flowed smoothly and clearly. No verbal clutter (umm, ahh, etc). Response answered the question appropriately. A wide variety and high level of vocabulary and verb tenses were used. Transition words made the speech more fluid.
