ELDAR STORM SERPENT

The Storm Serpent was first reported as a gunship in the Crucien War in M36 and many tacticians were confused when large numbers of Eldar troops exited from the sleekly designed craft. An Imperial Guard position was overrun at Merloc's Point when three disgorged dozens of aspect warriors leapt from the craft. When they were designated as . primary targets, it was assumed that the passengers would be killed when the vehicle was destroyed but this was proved

false when a single wreckage was found with barely a dozen bodies within. What the Imperium have yet to grasp is that within the Storm Serpent is a Webway Portal which allows troops to move endlessly from the vehicle. They can be accessed from anywhere in the webway, but most often they are used to quickly deploy armies from orbit. It's size limits that maximum size for deployment to about the size of a Vyper.

HoloEldar Titan Holo-fields systems, the Storm Serpent has Wraithgate fixed to its hull. This mobile portal Wraithgate: Instead of powerful weapon sys connects the Storm Serpent directly into the webway, and allows the Eldar to quickly deploy on planets that do not have functioning webway portals. Up to three Eldar unit that do not include a model with the Tank, Super Heavy, or Flyer units Heavy descriptors can make use of the Wraithgate per turn, and can enter play from reserves counting the front arc of the Storm , Serpent hull as a friendly table edge. This in all respects counts as disembarking from a vehicle (although there is no embark/disembark move) but units using the Wraithgate are free to move, shoot and assault normally. If an Eldar unit is nits forced to fall back, and it's fallback move would be sufficient to bring it into contact with the hull of a Storm Serpent, instead of falling back towards the table edge, that unit is removed from the game and counts as being destroyed, just as if it had left the table. Note that the Storm serpent does not have a transport capacity, and no models are actually transported by it. If it is destroyed, Eldar reserves can enter play by any other means they could normally use to enter play, including another estroyed, Storm Serpent.
