INTRODUCTION AND ANALYSIS

The common problem which is faced by both buyers and sellers was inefficient communication. Whenever buyer wants to purchase any product, he has to find out source of that product (sellers) then he has to contact them to make deal which is very time consuming and costly also. So, there is a need for a software solution which can help buyer to get online information about the product without wastage of his time and money. Sellers asked for a system by which they can get a global exposure through which they can come in competition with bigger companies. They asked to provide a system through which they can easily send quotations to buyers and can also maintain personal contact with their customers. They asked to provide a better security in money matter.

Analysis by definition is a process of systematic investigation for the purpose of gathering data, interpreting the facts, diagnosing the problem and using this information to either build a completely new system or to recommend the improvements to the existing system. Structured Analysis Object Oriented Analysis

Structured Analysis is an analysis method that provides a basis for developing a model of software to be developed. The objective of structured analysis is to identify the customer requirements and establish a basis to create a software model. The components of a Structured Analysis are

REQUIREMENT DEFINITION Functional Requirements:

The proposed project is to design a web service based e-market place and it requires an independent platform, which will be used by both the buyers and sellers. These functions will be achieved by dividing the system into two main sections: Common buying subsystem and selling subsystem. Users can register user information such as name, telephone number, gender and address into the system. Customers also have the right to modify their account information. In addition, customers can query the goods/merchandises by inputting information in the appropriate field after finding the goods they are interested in. Then buyers can order the goods and make a payment instantly. When the order procedure is completed, the transaction can be saved in the order table. In the module for the users who are buyers shopping at the website (thereafter referred as buyers), except registration, all other functions must be performed after the customer has logged into the system. The module for users who are sellers publishing goods information the website (thereafter referred as sellers). The system also offers a function to allow buyers to check their order records. In order for the system to run in a secure environment, the system authorizes a seller to upload their product.

The sellers can modify their account information after logging into the system. In addition, the sellers can add/edit the products information and check all the order records in the system for processing buyer orders. Benefits of online shopping 1. Bargaining power of consumers. They enjoy a wider choice 2. Supplier power. It is more difficult for consumers to manage a nondigital channel. 3. Internet increases commoditization. 4. Threat of new entrants. Online means it is easier to introduce new services with lower over-heads 5. Threat of substitutes 6. Rivalry among competitors. It is easier to introduce products and services to different markets.
OBJECTIVES The objectives of this project are as mentioned below 1) To process subscriber details starting from the entry of the subscribers

particulars to auto-generation of a unique subscribers number. 2) To facilitate the subscription tracking system. Each and every detail of the

subscription lifecycle is tracked right from inception to delivery. 3) An effective complaint tracking system is in place so as to ensure prompt

response against subscribers complaints and issue resolution is done at the earliest to maintain customer confidence in our product. 4) The system will generate customized reports that will help Management take

decisions regarding business promotional process improvement and product enhancements. 5) Label printing of subscribers depending on the geographic location.

PROJECT CATEGORY: RDBMS : SQL Server

A relational database management system (RDBMS) is a database management system (DBMS) that is based on the relational model as introduced by E. F. Codd Most popular commercial and open source databases currently in use are based on the relational model. A short definition of an RDBMS may be a DBMS in which data is stored in the form of tables and the relationship among the data is also stored in the form of tables.

PERT / GANTT CHART:In order to ensure the success of a project, it is necessary for the team members involved in the project development and the customers to have a clear vision of the project goals and objectives. Establishing a project vision offers the following advantages used for several purposes, including scheduling and

resource planning. Clarification of Project goals Prioritizing of processes Integration with other products Basis for future planning

Two general techniques of scheduling are Program evalutation and review technique (PERT) charts and Gantt charts It is a bar chart with each bar representing an activity. The bars are drawn against a time line. The length of each bar is proportional to the length of the time planned for the activity. It is used almost exclusively for scheduling purposes and therefore controls only the time dimension of projects. It helps in scheduling the activities of the project but not in identifying them.

FUTURE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT 1) Enhancement of our proposed system would be in terms of connectivity with the rest of the departments so that information is made available throughout the organization which leads to efficiency and speeding up of a number of processes. E.g. Finance dept. connected directly with subscriber Database so that they could get information regarding expenditure and gains. 2) Centralized Database in the main server could establish connections with each and every zonal head office via satellite communication. This would involve the concept of VSAT installed at each and every station communicating through WAN. 3) Online subscriber register facility could be brought on to the Internet so as to automate the Subscription process to an large extend. 4) Enhancement of our proposed system would be in terms of connectivity with the rest of the departments so that information is made available throughout the organization which leads to efficiency and speeding up of a number of processes. Future scope of Application

The website is based on online jewellery shopping system which has three parts 1. Selling 2. Buying 3. Administrating. The application is developed according to the requirement of customer. The application has already a system of booking order through message. But in future scope we are proposed to add e-commerce related facility. We can also add online chat between buyers and sellers so, they can understand their requirement directly after talking live with each other.
