Ans: - power point is one of the packages of the ms office that makes the presentations beautiful we will use these presentations in transparency films, 35mm slides and also to show slides on computer screen 1. Power point features: - power point is a powerful instrument to present our ideas with a practical way. The following are the important features of power point Readymade slides: - since, power point is having powerful wizards; we can prepare the slides easily and quickly. The auto content wizard option provides to make the slides easily. The template provides a wide range of readymade designs to us Back ground effects and colours:-we can have a variety of back ground colours for slides in power point. In addition to colours, we can also get different types of textures and shades in slides. We can also change the colours of existing wizards and templates Pictures :- not only captions and different colours, we can introduce good pictures either from clip art (or ) from scanning the pictures Sounds: - different sounds can be created while presenting the various slides. The sounds will have a variety effect on the people Animation: - different animation techniques are also available in the slides. The litters and pictures will fly from top to bottom and from left to right. Not only one technique, we can have many animation options. We can also get preview of various animation effects Charts and tables: - we can insert different charts and tables for expressing the data and information to the users. The different charts and tables on the ms excel can be easily imported into ms power point Time for slides :- we can prescribe the time automatically (or ) manually for running slides Speaker nodes :- speaker nodes are the nodes that can be included in the bottom of the slide, so that new ideas can be discussed during the presentation Other features :- power point includes many other features like macros, changing the colours to the slides, fonts etc we can also change the slide numbers from any direction using slide sorter command Advantages of power point :The slides can be prepared for different types of audiences like literates, illiterates, children, old people etc They can be run automatically, there is no manual interference for running power point slides show We can even take print outs of presentations and can be distributed to the audience The audience will easily attracted by the colourful slides with sound and animation techniques If we want to change a part of presentation we need not change all the slides

2. How to create a presentation in power point? Ans: - we can create a new presentation in several ways by (1) blank presentation (2) opening an existing presentation (3) creating a presentation based on a design template (4) creating presentation using auto content wizard Creating a blank presentation :-(1) select new option from file menu and select blank presentation (or ) click new on the standard tool bar

(2) Then select the slide lay out that you want from auto lay outs (3) Apply various formatting features to the slide such as back ground design templates etc from format menu (4) Apply animation settings to the object on the slide such as fly from top, fly from bottom etc using slide show menu (5) Click common task option on the formatting tool bar and click new slide option (Or) click new slide option from insert menu repeat these steps 3 to 6 new slides (6) To show the presentation, select view option from slide show menu (7) When finished it, click save option from file menu and give a file name Opening an existing presentation: - 1. Click open on the standard tool bar (or) choose open option from file menu (or ) press ctrl +o keys from key board

2. Select the presentation file and click open button (or) double click the presentation you want to open 3. If required, add new slides to the presentation 4. of required apply various formatting features, various animation effects to the slides 5. If needed, rearrange the slides in slide sorter view 6. Show the presentation using slide sow option from view menu and save the presentation Creating a presentation based on the design template :- select new option from file menu and then click the design templates tab

2. scroll to see all the design templates, click the one you want and click ok 3. Type the title and any other content you want on the title slide 4. Select new slide option from insert menu, and then select a lay out for the next slide 5. Add the all contents and all objects to the slide 6. 1. Select new option from file menu and choose auto content wizard 2. From the wizard dialogue box, choose presentation type and click on next button 3. Then select presentation style and click next button, provide presentation options like title, footer, slide number etc and click finish button 4. Now, power point creates a presentation with a no of slides according to the selected presentation type 5. If required, we can change slide contents and designs according our needs 6. If required, rearrange the slides in slide sorter view 7. To see how slide show will look, click slide show option from view menu and save the presentation using save option from file menu

Ans: - power point also supports various additional input, output devices such as speakers, scanners, video devices etc these devices will help the user to design a presentation very impressively using these devices, we can listen back ground sounds (or) music and play movie files and also get the pictures (or)images Insert music (or) sound on a slide: - 1. Switch to normal (or) slide view, now display the slide you want to add music (or) sound 2. Select movies and sounds option in the insert menu 3. Then do, to insert a sound from the clip art gallery. Click sound from gallery and then locate and insert the sound you want (or) to insert a sound from another location. Click sound and then double click the sound you want 4. A sound icon appears on the slide 5. Click yes to play automatically (or)no to play when you click on the sound icon when the slide is displayed in the slide show 6. To preview the sound in normal view, double click the sound icon Insert movie (or) video file on a slide: - 1. Switch to normal or slide view display the slide you want to add movie (or) video 2. Select movies and sound option from insert menu 3. Then do to insert a video from the clip out gallery and click movie from gallery option and then locate and insert the video you want (or) to insert a video from another location click movie from file option and select the movie (or)video file that you want and then double click it 4. A movie icon appears on the slide 5. Click yes to play automatically (or) no to play when you click on the movie icon when the slide is displayed in the slide show 6. Ans:-animation is the process of providing special visual (or) sound effect to the text (or) an object. For e.g.:-we can display text characters fly from left (or) each word at a time (or)hear the sound of different types when a picture is displayed etc we can set animation effects to any number of objects on the slide We can change the order and timing of animation, and we can set them to automatically without having to click the mouse we can preview the animation of text and objects to see how they all work together and adjust animations if necessary the animation effects are two types. They are 1. Slide transition 2. Custom animation Slide transition: - the animation effect to entire slide is known as slide transition. It is applied when the slides are displayed one after another in the slide show Add transitions to a slide:1. In a slide, you want to add a transition, click on slide transition option from slide show menu 2. In the effect box, click the transition and sound effect you want 3. Set the time to display the slide rum automatically 4. To apply the transition to the selected slide, click on apply button (or)to apply the transition to all the slides. Click on apply to all button 5. Repeat the process for each slide you want to add a transition 6. To view the transitions, click on animation preview option from slide show menu Custom animation: - in this method, we can set animation effects to each object in the slide. It slides. To set the timing, select the object and then do by clicking the text (or) object, click on mouse click option and then enter the no of seconds you want to between the previous animation and the current animation 7.
