Panji Laras and Panji Liris

Once, on the district of Lamongan lived Ronggo Hadi and his twin sons. Ronggohadi was the head of Lamongan district. Ronggo Hadi led his district wisely. He also got the name of Tumenggung Surajaya. People respected to him and his family. Morever he had kind and noble twins sons. They enjoyed meeting the village people and helping the poor. They both were handsome. Their handsome was famous around Lamongan and other district. Their names were Panji Laras and Panji Liris. Meanwhile, on the land of Kediri lived twins beautiful princesses named Andansari and Andanwangi. The princesses heard about Panji Laras and Panji Liris. They asked their mother to propose them. Andansari : Dear mother, I heard people tell about Panji Laras and Panji Liris. They said that they were very handsome. Andanwangi : Would you like to propose them for us, mother? The Queen Andansari : My dear daughters, I will give anything you want. Ill ask my man to go to Lamongan. : Thank you, thank you very much, my mother.

Andansari and Andanwangi were very angry. They returned back to Kediri. They asked their mother to attack Lamongan. Then there was a great war. The victims were everywhere. Panji Laras and Panji Liris died. People cried for them. They felt so upset. They could not accept this situation. For now on, people think the young boy from Lamongan may not marry to the young girl from Kediri. Because it seems to become a big misery in their life.

Pada suatu masa, di kabupaten Lamongan hiduplah Ronggo Hadi dan anak kembarnya. Ronggo Hadi adalah Bupati di Kabupaten Laomongan. Ia memimpin daerahnya dengan bijak. Dia memiliki anak kembar yang baik dan tampan. Ketampanan mereka sangat terkenal di Lamongan dan kabupaten di sekitarnya. Namanya adalah Panji Laras dan Panji Liris. Sementara itu, di Kediri ada putri kembar yang cantik bernama Andansari dan Andanwangi. Para putri medengar tentang Panji Laras dan Panji Liris. Mereka meminta Ibunya untuk melamar pangeran. Andansari : Dear mother, I heard people tell about Panji Laras and Panji Liris. They said that they were very handsome.

(apa katamu? Kami adalah sang putri!)

Sampai sekarang orang-orang berpikir pemuda dari Lamongan tidak boleh menikah dengan gadis Kediri)
