EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
OBJECTIVE We have been given a task to setup a wireless connection at a restaurant. We have chosen to setup the connection at Radix Fried Chicken (RFC) as our restaurant venue.
BENEFIT TO RESTAURANT By adding a wireless connection to the restaurant, it will attract more customer to the restaurant during their free time. Nowadays, many young generations have laptop with wireless access capabilities. They want to connect to the internet anytime and anywhere. When adding a wireless connection, they will be attracted to drop by to restaurant to hang out with their friends.
PLANNING To setup a wireless connection to the restaurant, firstly we need to buy a wireless device capable to connect the restaurant to the Internet. Among the device that are required are Linksys WRT54G 802.11g Wireless Router, RJ-11 and RJ-45 cable, modem provided by ISP, and our own laptop to setup the wireless connection by configuring the router.

We decided to use RJ-11 to connect between ADSL splitter box and Streamyx Modem for the data transmission. This is due to the port consists of only RJ-11 port.

Page 9
For the connection between Streamyx modem and the router, we use CAT 5e for cabling. This is due to not many device can support CAT 6 and the technology is not practiced wide yet.

SOFTWARE SPECIFICATION
Mozilla Firefox The web browser will be used to configure the modem and access point directly from the ISP using WebGUI. It will also provide the security needed during configuring the modem and access point. Packet Tracer Our company will use the software to do a prototype to see the arrangement of the network. This is done to see the network movement, data rate, and traffic flow on the network. Visio This software is used to design and draw the floor plan and the arrangement of the network device on the wireless network.

ISP 2: TM Streamyx
Our suggestion is TM Streamyx because it provide greater value to our client than TM Unify. The plan also provides constant speed and unlimited bandwidth rather than Unify which the speed drop significantly after the bandwidth reached its limit. We highly recommended BB Deal 4Mbps due to higher speed and our client do not have to worry about decreasing speed if the internet is to be consumed simultaneously.
