Support Services of Data Centre for next 5 years for Licensees, Annual Technical Support, Hardware and other peripheral equipment except PC's and Printers. Oracle Installation and Configuration

Need not to be mentioned separately, this all comes under scope of work as per RFP

Part A Technical Details 3.2 Other Scope of Work, Pg11

Part A Technical Details 4.6.4 SAN; Pg 14 5

The storage area network should be designed and implemented keeping in mind Owner's requirement of high availability and based on high availability architecture.

Only supply of Oracle Licenses should be considered under the scope of work, whereas installation and configuratin of Oracle Licenses is the part of application Vendor's Scope. Technically the Entire Solution is not designed in a High availability architecture, infact with no redundant insrastructure. This clause does not validate the design. Request you to kindly get the entire IT Infra to be in NSPOP mode (NO Singel Point of Failure. As per the best Pratices for the Implementation of the datacentre, The Firewall should be configured in High Availability Mode. Request you to kindly get the qty of Firewall Changed to 02.

BoM and Requirement have already been defined in the RFP, therefore, Solution and BoM needs to sticks to detailing in RFP to meet requirement.

Part A Technical Details 4.6.5 Security; Pg 14 6

Firewalls in Data Centre shall be configured as per best practices

Part A Technical Details 4.6.5 Security; Pg 15

The Network Architecture should be planned keeping in mind the following design criteria :d) Redundancy. e) Business Continulty. f) Investment protection.

5.0 Minimum specification for hardware 1. Database Server Specifications; Pg 15

Min 162.5' Drive Bays; 300GBx3 SAS Drive 10K/15K.

Storage Area Network (SAN); Pg 17

4Gb dual port fibre channel HBA

The Product proposed in RFP do not comply to the Network Architecture wrt to. 1. Redundancy - Broadband/ADSL Modem do not have and redundancy. 2. Business Continuity - Broadband connectivity / ADSL Modem do not support the features required for Business Continuity. 3. Investment Protection - The ADSL Modems do not provide teh investment protection. Request you to kindly change the Network Architecture from Broadband with ADSL Modem to the More secured Architecture with MPLS/Point to point leased line connectivity with Routers & LL Modems. As of now the DB Server is configurated with only 3 SAS drives, but the expandability is asked for 16 Bays.. Moreover there is another SAN box for database storage as a part of Solution. So why such a scalability is required? The Hardware configuration is not as per the Recommended Architecture of Oracle Database, Request you tou kindly modify the same. The necessary cables should also be included with the solution.

Please stick to requirements of RFP requested from Bidder. It is also requested to please read RFP carefully for clarity.

Proposed solution should care of these provisions.

Monior is not mentioned in the specifications, only keyboard and mouse are considered. Please insert the same or include KVM Switch with accessories and remove individual Keyboard/Mouse from the specifications. KVM Switch is not taken into account. We suggest that KVM switch should be included in the specifications for easy manageability of Servers. The requirment is not very clear as the Database serve has 16 bays expandability, while the storage has only 12 bays scalability. Please explain why these are two different requirement. These can be very well integrated into the same solution.

Keyboard and mouse are obviously required for monitor. Please stick to requirements of RFP requested from Bidder. It is also requested to please read RFP carefully for clarity.

The Storage specifications does not ask for any SAN Switch Specifications, whereas as per the BOM on page 50, it says with SAN Switch. Please clarify Whether SAN Switch is required as the part of solution. Please mention the number of drives required in the Tape drive.

This is a typographical error in it and Sl. No. 3 (a), Page No. 50, Annexure - 4 (P1) should be read with deletion of "with SAN switch".

Please stick to requirements of RFP requested from Bidder. It is also requested to please read RFP carefully for clarity. As per Bill of Material (BoM).

All Servers must be provided with latest version of 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System for 1 socket pair (i.e.2 populated sockets) up to 1 gues with 1 year Standard support. 2x24 Port Patch Panel

Please be specific which Tape Drive is required as there is cost difference between the same. Kindly deleted LTO4 or LTO5. Specifications for Backup software is not mentioned. We suggest to include the Detailed specifications of the Backup Software as per the Scope of Work under Backup. 1 Year Standard Support is mentioned, whereas as per clause mentioned on Page 11, the software support/subscription is required for 5 years. This needs to be changed to 5 Years Support. It should be 2x24 port Cat6A based Patch Panel.

Requirements are to be met as specified in RFP and propose in Technical Solution. So, Bidder is requested to plan accordingly to meet requirements. This is a typographical error in it and Sl. No. 6 (1), Page No. 17, Clause 5.0 Minimum Specification for Hardware should be read as "5 years".

Please stick to requirements of RFP requested from Bidder and is understood. It is also requested to please read RFP carefully for clarity.

Subscriptions of different functionalities such as IPS/IDS, Gateway Antivirus, Gateway Antispam are not mentioned specifically. We suggest, based on the clause mentioned on page 11, it should be bundled with 5 Year Subscription License. This wording "Appropriate" would lead to different vendors quoting different capacity UPS, thus it needs to be changed accordingly. We suggest, 5KVA UPS would suffice the requirment and the specs for same should be replaced. The specs seem to be more of a Higher Capacity UPS with features like Rack Mountable, 6U etc. The Specifications shuld be changed accordingly based on the 5KVA Features. Need more clarity on the Testing Procedure and Specifications. This is because as per the specs there are many features covered, which cannot be individually tested for each device. Please remove the clause.

Need not to be mentioned separately, this all comes under scope of work as per RFP

Test Data - Test data is prepared for testing at each stage. The test data should be prepared in such a way that it covers basic path. The basic path should capture relevant data. Tools can also be used to generate test data. necessary training should be provided to End User, Managers & Admiistrators (datea center) about the new version, if applicable.

Test Data Prepartion and Testing is the part of Scope of the Application Vendor, we would provide the insfrastructure and integrate the same for seamles operation. Please make the necessary changes. This clause suggest that we need to provide training to mentioned users on the change/upgrade of the new Version of Software. But his in itself would be a tedious task, moreover the Application part is under the scope of work for the application Consultant. Please remove the same or mention it under scope or work of application Vendor. These Backup functionalities can be achieved by using a High End Backup Software, which is not included in the Solution. Please include the Specifications of the Backup Software as per the desired functionalities. All the functionalities mentioned under this clause can ONLY be achieved using a Agents based Backup Software Package. As of now on Backup Software Package is included in the Solution. Moreover the by default backup software option with LTO Drive is a Temporary Solution and cannot provide functionalities such as scheduling backups etc. Please include the Specifications of the Backup Software as per the desired functionalities.

Please stick to requirements of RFP requested from Bidder. It is also requested to please read RFP carefully for clarity.

Fiber Optic based Storage is expected with a SAN Switch based solution, but on the contrary the specifications do not include and SAN Switch. Please refine the statement. This statement contradicts with the specifications of device. LTO-4/LTO-5 will give he flexibility of quoting for either of them but there is a cost difference in both. Please suggest which drive is required. Specs mentioned in Technical Specs section is for a Layer - 2 POE Switch, thus the same needs to be changed. Please remove this clause. As shown in Figure 1 at Page 13 of RFPand mentioned in section 4.6.1 of RFP, A WAN network is to be setup by the vendor using IP-Sec VPN technology which has been asked in router already. Whereas Virtual Private LAN Services (VPLS) is a class of VPN that supports the connection of multiple sites in a single bridged domain over a managed IP/MPLS network. VPLS is used by Service provider. So, request you to remove the same. Please clarify/remove this clause. Please clarify this clause as in performance specifications of router you have already asked the 256 VPN tunnels and 400 Mbps of throughput. This clause seems to be repetitive and contradictory to earlier clause. So please remove this clause. Please remove this clause and increase the flash upgradeble requirement to 8 GB. Please remove the specific requirement of mentioning the number of DIMM slot. We request you to ask for the sufficient scalability in terms of Flash Memory rather then mentioning number of DIMM slots. Please amend this clause to 19" Rack Mountable. Fixed configuration modular routers comes in rack size from 1RU to 4 RU. So, we request you to ensure that router should be rack mounted but not to bind the same with 2 RU specification.

Common Criteria is an internationally recognized standard to assess the security of IT products. It is recognized by over 26 countries around the world. Common Criteria have the following objectives in developing, operating, and maintaining an evaluation and validation scheme. To meet the needs of government and industry for cost-effective evaluation of IT products. To encourage the formation of commercial security testing industry. To ensure that security evaluations of IT products are performed to consistent standards. To improve availability of evaluated of IT products. Since you have asked for the modular UPS which doesn't have the isolation transformer as the IT load is critical load isolation transformer is must for IT load so we request you to go for conventional UPS with isolation transformer. Please provide the Data Centre area and basic layout. This will help to provide you the fair pricing. Also apart from the server farm area what other area you are looking, i.e., NOC Room, Staging area, Electrical Room, BMS room if any pls provide the details.

The Storage specifications does not ask for any SAN Switch Specifications, whereas as per the BOM on page 50, it says with SAN Switch. Please clarify Whether SAN Switch is required as the part of solution. Please mention the number of drives required in the Tape drive.

IPSEC WAN/INTERNET ROUTER/Page No.18 RFP Clause Port Configuration: Shall have at least 4 nos of 10/100/1000 RJ45 LAN Ports Clarification Sought 225 KPPS of Router performance is asked . With this performance the router will use maximum 100 Mbps bandwidth on port , and the gigabit port is not required at all. More over, the gigabit bandwidth contains more electrical interferences hence it is less stable as compare to fast ethernet and at router end the link stability is very important, hence we request you to modify the clause as "Shall have at least 4 nos of 10/100 RJ45 LAN Ports" As compared to Router performance which is 225 KPPS the VPN performance asked is extremely high. With this router performance the VPN performance must not exceed 250 Mbps, hence we request you to modify the clause as "AES256+SHA1/3DES+SHA-1 VPN performance of at least 250 MBPS" . Currently the clause is favoring a Single OEM and hence request you to make the chnage to make it generic without impacting the overall requirement as submitted please As per the envisaged network infrastructure there is not much requirement of BGP. BGP is generally used for backing the core routing decision on internet . Within intranet OSPF is used and OSPF which is the requirement of this network, its routes asked are very low hence we request you to modify the clause as "Should support 30K/10K BGP/OSPF Routes" to make it generic for all OEMs and enable them to bid VPN tunnels is not a memory term hence it should not be measured in MB. VPN tunnel is generally only numbers, hence we request you to modify the clause as "Concurrent VPN tunnels 512" Clarifications by PTCUL Please stick to requirements of RFP requested from Bidder. Poe switch has 15.4 watt power per port which means 15.4x24=370 W approx ,for POE+ the power should be 24x30=720 W,hence we request you to modfy the clause as "24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 POE Ports" Every OEM has different architecture and their config file size will vary as per the architecture, and in HP's architecture Flash is not needed beyond 16 MB.
