Bucket-wheel gear
Kreiskott bucket-wheel gears are manufactured for special bulk material handling requirements. as bevel planetary spur gears with a hollow output shaft and shrink disc, they are especially suited for driving the bucket-wheel. the attached torque support is used for the direct installation of the motor and brake to the gear. mounting takes place upon request at our factory. the entire drive unit is precisely aligned to a few hundredths of a millimetre using a laser system, which permits optimum integration into the handling or conveyor system.

Application: Ship loading and unloading systems


the fast, efficient movement of goods is also important in large sea port terminals. Whether ship load or grab or conti ship unloaders, high handling output is the prerequisite for keeping the docking times of ships as brief as possible. for drive technology, large handling quantities and high accelerations means enormous stress. the gears are the focus of this stress, no matter what handling equipment is used, around the clock for several days. KrEisKott special gears for crane installations are individually tailored to the respective area of application and use. as shatft-mounted spur gears with a motor lantern and steel brake bracket, they are characterised by compactness, robustness, and easy assembly and disassembly. they are thus perfectly suited for the handling and conveyance of heavy goods and bulk materials. Equipped with a freeform-forged drum shaft, pedestal bearing, and pedestal bearing casing, these gears guarantee reliably and continuously high handling outputs.

Extremely heavy loads must be moved quickly and safely in sea ports and inland ports, as well as in steel factories. in general, the high turnover of goods such as containers, loose cargo, bulk materials, big bags, scrap, slabs, and coils must be guaranteed. in turn, the transport of molten materials must comply with high safety standards. in all these different areas of application for crane installations, KrEisKott special gears stand the test around the globe, day in, day out. since cranes are usually operated in three shifts within 24 hours, the gears are stressed to a high degree.

the manufacturing of steel requires special crane installations, for which Emil KrEisKott Gmbh manufactures special gears. here, the high ambient temperature and dust and graphite laden atmosphere are a particular challenge. Very high safety standards and constant availability thus also characterise the KrEisKott special gears used in the cranes in smelting plants and rolling mills. the best examples of this are the crane installations equipped with KrEisKott gears in the new steel factory of thyssenKrupp stahl in brazil and in the hadeed steel factory in saudi arabia.
