Olympus Sonority is a software application that connects your PC with an OLYMPUS Voice Recorder, allowing for the centralized management and editing of audio fil es. In addition to sound recording, playback, and splitting/combining files, this software makes audio and music editing more enjoyable by including a file conver ter and various effect features. Olympus Sonority can be upgraded to Olympus Sonority Plus / Plus for Editors by purchasing the upgrade key. For detailed information regarding upgrade, see Help in Olympus Sonority. To ensure the optimal working environment for Olympus Sonority, we recommend acquiring the latest version via internet. This document details changes to the following software programs: - Olympus Sonority - Olympus Sonority Plus - Olympus Sonority Plus for Editors : Music -------------------------------------------------------------------------------Version 1.3.3: Changes ======= 1. Expansion for index marks is supported. Maximum of 99 index marks for WMA, MP3, WAV files can be registered and managed. However, some recorders are limited to 16 index marks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------Version 1.3.2: Changes ======= 1. Introducing the Voice Detection cancellation function. Enables Voice Detection cancellation while voiced segments are being analyzed by pressing the execute button or selecting the function from the menu. 2. Improvements to the Rewind and Fast-Forward function key behaviors. Rewind and Fast-Forward function key behaviors have been changed to operate only while being pressed. 3. Improvements to the Compressed Time Playback toggle function behavior. Enables Compressed Time Playback while retaining the voice detection data of each file by pressing the Compressed Time Playback button or by selecting the function from the menu. 4. Introduction to the Audio Notebook Plug-in. Introduction to a function that detects voiced parts, displays them as segments, and allows them to be edited. Users can then associate images, text and file links with each segment, and then save and manage the data as

a project. The project can also be converted into DAISY 2.02/3.0 format and exported. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------Version 1.3.0 / Version 1.3.1: Changes ======= 1. Introduction of DAISY 3.0 playback support. DAISY 3.0 .opf files can be played back using the DAISY 3.0 content loader. 2. Introduction to the compressed-time playback function, which detects active or passive voiced segments during playback. Playback time can be shortened by detecting these active or passive voiced segments and removing any silent gaps. The extracted audio can also be saved as a file. 3. Introduction to a key customization function. Playback, rewind, fast-forward, and compressed-time playback functions can be assigned to any of the function keys. 4. Enables the user to download and upload audio files in the Radio Folder. 2. DAISY book playback functionality has been added. You can load any DAISY content using Olympus Sonority, and then playback, add/delete bookmarks, and display properties. By connecting our DAISY-compatible recorder, you can transfer DAISY books and listen to them on the recorder. 2. The Music Folder may now be selected as a target for uploading. When selecting a destination upload folder, you can choose to upload your sou nd files to the Music Folder or its sub-folders if you are using one of our compatible recorders. 3. Now compatible with High Contrast display.
