Payroll AS IS

As per the document payroll is run in the following way For workers and Utilities payment is done twice per month i.e. on 1st & 16th of the month. For middle & top management payment is done on last working day of the month.

Payroll is run centrally at the corporate office in Mumbai. Payroll is run by RPL and RCL for all categories of employees. All the employees of RPL and RCL are salary based. Pay scale structure is maintained at Top management (L9, L8, L7), Middle level management (L6, L5, L4), Workers (L3, L2, L1), Utilities (S1, S2) levels. Absenteeism is monitored on day to day basis and leave applications posted to clear absenteeism. Attendances are audited on month end and details are transferred to payroll system. Absenteeism report is generated for payroll process. If absences exceed their entitlements for respective leaves, such leaves will be considered as unpaid leaves and are deducted from Basic salary at source. All the four components like Basic pay, HRA, Conveyance and special allowance are deducted for absences. Rules for late night shift and overtime are monitored as per the factories act. Over time at rate of 150% is paid to those who work in Night shifts. Over time at rate of 125% is paid to those who work in Other shifts. For all the employees HRA is given at 40%. For Mumbai & Delhi Additional 10% HRA is given along with normal HRA. As per the document the following schemes are available only for permanent employees. Medical Reimbursement. Leave Travel assistance claim.

Medical Reimbursement: Permanent employees who are not covered under ESI scheme are eligible for medical reimbursement. Regular employees, who are on probation, as soon as they complete probation and become permanent, will be eligible for the scheme. Every month it is paid as follows.

Medical Allowance will come under taxable amount but when claim form along with bills is submitted to taxation Rs15000 will be exempted from tax. Leave Travel assistance claim: This is paid for employee and his dependents viz. spouse, dependant parents & children. LTA is applicable only to Permanent employees only. As per the document it is calculated every month but paid only once in a year. For worker category i.e. L3, L2, L1 it is Rs200 per month

For both executive & manager Categories it is 8%. As per the document employees are given option to take some advances as follows Salary Advance Festival Advance

Salary Advance: For every employee salary advance is paid in case of serious illness of employee or his family members. Salary advances are paid only to middle and worker category of employees. This advance will be deducted from the salary on installment basis.

The installment amount & how much period it needs to be deducted will be fixed by personnel department. Festival Advance: Festival Advance is paid for worker & utility category of employees It is paid only once in a year but this period of disbursement varies in Roha, Mahad & Puna there its employee choice to take it either on Ganapathi festival, Ambedkar Jayanthi or Holy. Festival advance is also paid to factory employees in both Lonavala and Bangalore locations The advance amount paid varies based on location. It is again deducted from following months salary as installments (4-5) Full & Final Settlement: As per the document employee will fill and submit the clearance Certificate and separation letter one day before he leaves the company to the personnel department. This certificate is stored in the employee's personnel file. Personnel department will compute the final dues get it audited, prepare the voucher and forward it to accounts department for drawing the cheque. At the time of separation earned leaves can only be en- cashed. Notice Period: Two months notice period for top management, One month notice period for middle level management, Fifteen days notice period for workers and utilities.
