Course Description This course discusses and guides student to develop skills in five major aspects of the teaching process: (a) statement of teaching objectives; (b) selecting and planning of curricular materials and sequence of lessons; (c) selecting appropriate teaching methods and techniques; (d) preparing the use of appropriate teaching-learning technology; (e) selecting and preparing appropriate tools and methods to evaluate learning outcomes. Students will develop skills in the preparation a set of lesson plans on certain topics for their respective subjects, based on the above components. Course Outcomes At the end of the course, students should be able to: a. Define lesson plan and integration of technology b. Develop an instruction plan which integrate technology c. Identify problems in teaching and learning using technology based on assessment and find alternative solutions

Quizzes First Quiz will cover Lesson 1 until Lesson 6 Second Quiz will cover Lesson 7 until Lesson 10 Lesson Plan Form a group of three or four (Depends on class) Task : (i) You have to come out with TWO LESSON PLANS with a same topic but different approaches. : 20% : 20%

(ii) The approaches could be: Mastery Learning, Constructivist, Direct Instruction, Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Inquiry / Discovery Learning, etc.

(iii)The template for lesson plan will be uploaded later. Please refer to Module 6.

(iv) For each of lesson plan, the teaching aids [It could be handout, test or Powerpoint (Softcopy and hardcopy)] must be included.

Allocation of marks: Each lesson plan carries 20% of the total marks (20% X 2= 40%)

Submission : Student have to send in the assignment on: First lesson plan will be on Third Meeting Second Lesson plan will be on Fifth Meeting

Online Discussion i. ii. iii. Online interaction in http://ppg.ined.uitm.edu.my carries 20% Medium of instruction/discussion: English Students have to interact online at least every 48 hours.
