Unit Development: Process Phase I (2010-2011)

o Gap analysis was conducted to identify the largest gaps between existing Grade Level Content Expectations/High School Content Expectations and the new Career and College Readiness Standards. Identified units were developed by contracted writers (content specialists with strong curriculum backgrounds). Phase I Units were reviewed by content consultants and piloted in classrooms. Finalized units were rolled out to all ISDs in August of 2011, posted on the MAISA web site, and made available to LEAs through their ISDs.
