THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ,

his only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. DOXOLOGY Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise him, all creatures here below; Praise him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

CHORAL ANTHEM Built On A Rock PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION OUR SCRIPTURE THIS WEEK: John 20:24-32 (p. 115)
Unless I see and touch for myself...

CALL TO WORSHIP: John 20:19-23 Later that first Easter Sunday, the disciples had gathered together, but, fearful of the Jewish authorities, We locked all the doors in the house. Jesus entered, stood among them, and said, "Peace be unto you." Then he showed us his hands and his pierced side. The disciples, seeing the Master with their own eyes, were exuberant. Jesus repeated his greeting: "Peace to you. Just as the Father sent me, so I now send you." Then he took a deep breath and breathed into us! "Receive the Holy Spirit," he said. And we did! *HYMN #289G Alleluia, Alleluia! Hearts to Heaven (vs. 1-3) *AFFIRMATION of RESURRECTION FAITH! Almighty God, we continue to gloriously praise You this blessed Easter Season in the spirit of wonder and joy! For our hope is completed this week, as You have put even our Last enemy- death- under Your feet; For You have deprived the grave of its victory, and have taken the sting out of death! May we never again think or act as if Your only begotten Son were dead, but let us come to share Him as the eternally Living Lord, who promises to them that believe: Because I live, you shall live also!

SERMON:

A Week Later...

SERVICE NOTES: (*) indicates when to stand (G) refers to our green hymnal Worship & Rejoice The Missions of the Month for April are One Great Hour of Sharing (to address the needs of Hunger/Poverty) and Compassion (HIV/AIDS). Please keep these ministries in your prayers. Your support to One Great Hour of Sharing changes peoples lives by working with communities to enable them to produce, store, and sell their food, offering training, tools, and seeds to help communities return to food security and by teaching Self-Development techniques. Compassion (HIV/AIDS) Globally, 46 million children have lost one or both parents to the HIV/Aids epidemic. Ninety percent of them live in Subsaharan Africa. While new HIV infection rates are falling in most parts of the world, they increased by 60% in Africa in 2010 and in 2011. When children in Africa are orphaned they must drop out of school to look for work. They often live on the streets in poverty so extreme we can hardly imagine it. Compassion works in Africa to educate the general population about preventing HIV infections, provide medical care for those already infected, and care for the overwhelming number of children who have lost their families to this tragic epidemic. If you would like more information, please contact Donna Stroud. There are envelopes located in your pews for One Great Hour of Sharing. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

There are 12 assisted listening devices available for people to better hear the worship service. They are located in a basket in the narthex. CD copies of our worship service are also available every Sunday in the narthex. Join us for a prayer time every Sunday morning in the youth lounge before church at 9:20am. Welcome, as we worship the risen Lord. May we be of one heart and soul (Acts 4:32) in love for one another and in praise of Christ. The The The The The elder for the month is Dana Barrett. deacon for the month is Colleen Moore. trustee for the month is Margery Eachus. greeters are Joe & Peg Layman. lay leader is Dana Barrett.

CHOIR PRACTICE Wednesday @ 7:30 pm PRAISE BAND PRACTICE Tuesday @ 7:30 pm DEACONS MEETING Tuesday @ 7:30 pm Jr. and Sr. High youth groups will meet tonight from 6 7 pm. Sunday School classes are available for all ages, children and adults. Classes begin after worship, approximately 11:30 and runs until 12:15 pm. We would love to have you join us! The Garden for God will soon be up and running again for 2012! Once the ground is ready we will be planting carrots, lettuces and lots of other healthy things! As always there will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex for watering and weeding. However, if you feel that signing up for a week at a time is unrealistic for you, you can still help! Maybe you have some extra time one afternoon or 10 minutes before a meeting or church function. Just head across the street and pull some weeds or turn on the sprinkler for a bit. Garden tools, the hose, and the sprinkler are kept there for your use anytime and your efforts will be much appreciated by many local hungry people! On May 11th and 12th, many of the youth in our church (and their leaders) will be participating in the 30-Hour Famine, a World-Vision project to fight hunger throughout the world. They will be fasting from Friday after lunch until a Saturday evening dinner. There is much activity during this timethey will participate in a local service project and many activities that will teach them what it means to be truly hungry and needy. We will be asking that someone (or a small group

perhaps) prepare a simple meal for us on Saturday. Eventually we will be asking for donations for the 30-hour famine. But for now, please begin to pray for those participating in the fast, as well as for those the project will feed. Check out our website for the weekly Bulletin and Insert. Prayer Requests: Mary Radcliffe, Debbie Covey (Oak Gandys daughter), Judi Walker, Jack and Pat Barrett, Billy Cundey Jr. (friend of Chris Baum), Paul Headley, Ron Rudenolff and Joanne Riddell (friends of Dee & George Leptien), Sharon & Michael Hughes (friends of Kitty Lamb), Bruce and Teresa Monell, Brian Denny (friend of Jeanine Tindall), Peggy Kroeplin (Donna Strouds mother), Eric Robertson (friend of Andrea Wood), Carol Barnhart (Cora Laytons daughter), John Baitinger (Marion Dwyers brother), Brenda (Hackett) Halls daughter, Jill (friend of Jane String), Dot Floyd, Lestor Sutton (friend of Jennifer Johnson) ), Robert Brown (Eric Williams father-in-law), Jason Bennett Jr. (friend of Jennifer Johnson), Marion Dwyer, and Erma Jarman.
Local food banks such as Disciples Pantry in Woodstown and Peters Pantry in Elmer continue to be in need of items. We are collecting donations such as peanut butter, jelly, tuna, cereals, pasta, sauce, soups, mac-n-cheese, rice and any canned good. Please leave your contribution in the box marked in the narthex and we will make sure it gets there. Thank you in advance for your generosity! CROP Walk, Sunday, April 29th from 2 4 pm. Registration begins at 1 pm. Our goal is to have 50 walkers from our Church participate. If you raise $100, you will

receive a t-shirt and will know you were part of a great community interfaith effort! Please see Stephanie Ale or Jane Gandy to pick up your envelope today. The next CROP Walk meeting will be Wednesday, April 18th at 7:30 pm.

The flowers this morning are presented in honor of George & Evie Williams anniversary given by the Ewart and Bishop families.
