Colombia Commemorates its First National Victims Day
Colombia marked the countrys first National Day of Memory and Solidarity with the Victims April 9. For the millions who have suffered human rights violations in Colombias entrenched armed conflict, this was a day for their voices to be heard and their suffering to be acknowledged by the state; a nationwide call for accountability and reconciliation in a highly divided society.

Panelists included Peter Tomka, president of the International Court of Justice (ICJ); David Tolbert, president of ICTJ; and Willem van Genugten, dean of The Hague Institute for Global Justice.

El proceso penal de justicia y paz
En los seis aos de vigencia del proceso de Justicia y Paz, establecido en Colombia para la persecucin de las graves violaciones a los derechos humanos y del derecho internacional humanitario cometidas por grupos paramilitares que se desmovilizaron entre 2003 y 2005, la Corte Suprema de Justicia ha desarrollado una jurisprudencia consistente sobre diversos aspectos de este proceso.
