Apply Middleware Settings in ECC [not required for client refresh]

The middleware settings in the ECC system have not been overwritten during the client copy because the corresponding tables have been excluded from the client copy. Only if the target client had been newly created, you have to check that CRM is marked active in table CRMSONSUM using transaction code SM30.

Also create an entry for the connected CRM system in the table CRMRFCPAR as shown in the screenshot (using transaction code SM30).

Apply Middleware Settings in CRM [not required for client refresh]

The middleware settings in the CRM system have not been overwritten during the client copy because the corresponding tables have been excluded from the client copy. Only if the target client has been newly created, you have to check if the values from table SMOFPARSFA contain the correct RFC destinations (using transaction code SM30). If the value is <ENTER DESTINATION>, this value had not been customized in the source client and there is no need to change anything. These are the most important rows: Key CRMCFSOLTP CMRCREDCHE R3A_COMMON CRMGENERAL MKTPLBW MKTPLSEM Parameter Name CRMCFSOLTP CMRCREDCHE CRM_DEFAULT_DESTINATION LOGICAL_SYSTEM MKTPLBWRFC MKTPLSEMRFC Parameter Value 1 RFC destination to connected ECC target client RFC destination to connected ECC target client RFC destination to connected ECC target client Logical system name of CRM target client RFC destination to connected BW client RFC destination to connected BW client

If the target client has been newly created, the ECC site will have to be updated to the correct ECC target client. Call transaction code SMOEAC in the CRM target client, select object type site and press the goggles button display the sites. Navigate to the ECC site, display it by double-clicking on its name (usually OLTP) and switch to change mode (e.g. by pressing F9).

Press the button Site Attributes. Choose the correct RFC destination for the connected ECC target client and click the Get Values button to update the logical system name. Confirm by clicking the green hook and do not forget the save your settings using the disk button.

To create an RFC destination 1. Start the SAP GUI. 2. Go to Transaction SM59 (Display and Maintain RFC Destinations).

3. 4. 5. 6.

From the menu bar, click Create. Enter the RFC destination, connection type, description, and then press Enter. Provide the destination client , user id and password Save the RFC destination.
