INTRODUCTION OF COMPANY

Crown Containers is located in Shaper (Dist. Rajkot). It is a sole proprietorship firm. It is establish in year 1999. Its main item of production is plastic bottles & cans. Crown Containers has started attaining the path of success very rapidly from its establishment time.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

The idea for the establishment of the Crown containers came up in the mind of the proprietor Sudhir Sinojia in 1999 to observation of plastic bottles high demand in Rajkot city. In starting years they produce only plastic bottles and now last 2-3 years they also produce a plastic cans. Mr. Sudhir Sinojia who is the proprietor of the industry worked very hard with the great support of their family members. He is given the name of this unit Crown which means royal ornament for the head

Plant layout is a plan for arranging physical facilities & manpower required to manufacture a product with view to utilize the facilities & manpower in effective manner. According to F.C. RAW MATERIALS USED

As further availability of raw materials plays very important role in speed of production. Crown Containers purchased only PLASTIC for as raw materials to produce the bottles & Cans.

Then they pass through heat treatment process

Then that perform is putted into the blowing machine & takes the shape of the dye/ mould

REPAIR & MAINTENANCE POLICY

Repair & maintenance of machines is done in every week. There is preventive maintenance also after every month. Over all this organization has a very good sense of human about these things.

RECRUITMENT & SELECTION

(1) RECRUITMENT: Recruitment means to rains the ratio of employees to all the post with eligible person. Recruitment is the process of searching suitable employees and then to apply for the job. The aim of recruitment is to develop & maintain proper man power resources. Recruitment is the process of selecting efficient & trustworthy employees who are willing to apply for the job. There are mainly two sources of recruitment: 1. ENTERNAL SOURCES: Present employees Employee reference Previous application 2. EXTERNAL SOURCES: Advertisement Consultants But, Crown Containers recruits from internal sources likepresent employees & employee references.

(2) SELECTION:

When recruitment ends, selection starts. Selection means select the right person for the right job at the right time. Selection is the process of choosing the individual who process the required skill and ability to successfully apply to fill the specific jobs in the organization. Selection is the process counted in negative approach because so many have applied for the specific job but among them only the person who has best qualification, skill & personality to get impressive among the other applications. Crown Containers goes for the selection from the external sources. If they are not getting the proper employees then they only go for internal sources and select the person.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Training & Development refer to importing of specific skill abilities and knowledge and performance 0f employees. Every organization trains their worker after selection of the person. Training is a technique by which a management information that is right for job or not. After selection of employees, crown Containers give a specific training to their employee to the related job. This organization just not demands for skills but also demand for experience of the related field.

PROMOTION & TRANSFER

(1) PROMOTION:

Promotion can be define as s movement in job, means to move one step forward in the post which results in to higher wages & salary, better status and prestige, higher challenger & authority. Crown Containers gives promotion on the basis of seniority. (2) TRANSFER: Transfer means to change of work place. Transfer gives more expense. This unit also does the transfer process.

JOB ANALYSIS

Job analysis is the process of gathering relevant job information & determining the component elements of a job by observation & study. It is a scientific study and statement of all facts about a job revealing the tasks include in a job, duties, abilities, responsibilities, working conditions, skills & knowledge required to perform the job & its relations on other jobs. PERFORMANCEAPPERAISAL SYSTEM

Once the employee has been selected, training he is then appraised for his performance. It appraisal is the step where the management finds out how effective it has been a hiring and placing employees. If many problems are identified steps are taken to communication with employee and remedy them. A performance appraisal is a process of evaluating an employee performance job in terms of its requirement. The Crown Containers considers its employee as its valuable and therefore it believes in perfect & accurate performance appraisal system. They believe that employee efficiency, productivity & great performance is a ladder to success.

WAGES & SALARY SYSTEM

Wages & Salaries are the remuneration paid to an employee for his work and salaries is one of the important functions of an organization as well as for staff working. The Crown Containers pays wages & salaries for skilled workers Rs. 8000/- fixed per month. (8 hours of job per day). & for unskilled workers on daily wages as per their work

(1) BENEFITS: In this time every organization gives benefits to their employees or workers. Crown Containers provides following facilities.. (2) SERVICES: Every organization works to provide services to its customers as well as to the society. Crown Containers also organize various services to the customers as well as to the society. They never compromise with the quality of the product & satisfaction of the customers. They mainly aim at providing best quality product to their customers at any cost whether they earn maximum profit or not. The term Trade Union has been defined by the various authorities on labour in their own way emphasizing their own view point. According to Dale Yoder A continuing long term association of employees, formed and maintained for the specific purpose of protecting and advancing the interests of members in their working relationships In the firm Crown Containers there is no trade union.

COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

Workers participation in management can be successful only as a supplement to a well established system of Collective Bargaining, which has been considered as a form of industrial democracy and industrial government. Their very enthusiastic workers are also their important strength.

The only one weakness of the Crown Containers is that they have very less skilled workers.

If they plan for other plastic items then they has very good opportunity to their units development & growth. It has very good opportunity for a great success.

Now a days technology is increases day by day so, if this organization have no except new technology or new machines; they loose its old customers and reputation also.

Future is uncertain but in business future plan is must. The Crown Containers has also an aim or plan to few new small plastic items & cans.

The main aim of the Crown Containers is to provide best product at reasonable price. The firm will be going to follow the same throw out their existence. They have also maintained their quality of the maximum level. They had made the optimum utilization of resources.

As a student, I am yet too young to give any suggestions to such a big unit. They are running Crown Containers in the best possible manner. But there are some thing catches my mind.. They should advertise more. They have to expand their productivity. They should try to increase their sale & grow a new plan.
