    This morning, I filed a Motion to Place Respondent Jed Patrick Mabilog for an indefinite period as provided for under Section 8, Republic Act No. 3019, and until the criminal/administrative investigation is completed. Jeffrey Celiz, political liaison officer of Mabilog, tried to downplay the impact of the Ombudsman Order. He referred to it as a "Notice to Reply". He doesn't know how to read, that's why. And he doesn't understand that with this Order, the formal investigation commences. It means the Ombudsman evaluated my complaint and supporting evidence and found them to show enough basis to proceed with the investigation. Maybe Mabilog should tap Celiz as his lawyer for this case to hasten his indictment for unexplained wealth, dishonesty, perjury and grave misconduct.

    MOTION TO PLACE RESPONDENT UNDER

    ADMINISTRATIVE SUSPBNSION

    COMES NOW, Complainant, by himself, and unto this Honorable Office hereby avers:

    26,20l2,this Honorable Office directed respondent JED PATRICK E. MABILOG to frle his Counter-Affidavit and other controverting evidence to the complaint in the above-captioned case for LINEXPLAINED WEALTH under Section 8 of Republic ActNo. 3019, Dishonesty, Perjury and Grave Misconduct within Ten (10) days
    1. That in an Order dated March

    from receipt of the same;


    2. With this Order, this Honorable Office has commenced its criminal/administrative

    investigation of these cases;


    3. Section 8, RA 3019, particularly the last sentence, mandates that "The circumstances above-mentioned shall constitute valid ground for the administrative suspension of the publiq oflicial concerne.d for an indefinite period.until the investieation of the unexplained wealth is completed." (underscoring supplied for emphasis); 4. As City Mayor of Iloilo City, respondent holds a very powerful office, and he can influence potential wibresses and affect the outcome of these cases; 5. The evidence presented are the Statements of Assets, Liabilities andNet Worth (SALN) of respondent which are in the custody of this Honorable Office, and even a cursory examination of their contents would show that there is strong evidence of guilt against respondent.

    This Honorable Office issue an Order to place respondent JED PATRICK E. MABILOG under administrative preventive suspension for an indefinite period to prevent him from using his position as Crty Mayor to iufluence potential witlresses or tamper with the records which may be vital in the prosecution of the case against him, pursuant to Section 24 of Republic Act No. 6770. 2. It is likewise respectfully prayed that this Honorable Office act on this complaint with speedy dispatch in accordance with Section 15 of Republic Act No. 6770.
