There are many parts of William Shakespeares Life that were undocumented yet much is know of his rise

to success and his personal life. William Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire to John and Mary Shakespeare. Nobody knows his exact birth date but it is thought to be April 23, 1564. There is no documentation proving that this was the date of his birth but since there is proof that he was baptized on April 26, 1564, it is safe to assume that his birthday was on the twenty third. William was born in the house that he would later spend his childhood years in and where his father ran his business out of. Shakespeares father, John Shakespeare, was a glove maker and wool dealer and also held city official positions, at one point he held High Bailiff. William was the third of eight children John and Mary had together. He was the first son and the first to live past the age of one year. His school life is also uncertain because none of the records survived but it is believed that he attended King Edward VI School Stratford-upon-Avon. After Williams undocumented school life and time at home, there is a lost period, 1585-1592, before he started his professional life. In 1582 when Shakespeare was eighteen, he married the daughter of a farmer, Anne Hathaway who was eight years older than him, the couple later moved to London. It is believed that their marriage was force by the accidental pregnancy of Anne. In 1583, the couple had their first daughter Susanna, and two years later in 1585, they had twins, Hamnet and Judith. Shakespeare became more and more successful as an actor and playwright and eventually left his family. While in London, he lived with his family but would later abandon them. At the

time, Shakespeare worked for Lord Chamberlains Men and became the Principal Actor and Manager, for the theatre group. It is unknown at what age Shakespeare left his family but he moved back to Stratford between the age of 21 and 28, during his lost years. While in Stratford, Shakespeare wrote his final three plays in collaboration with John Fletcher, the chief dramatist of Lord Chamberlains Men. Shakespeare would later die in Stratford. Between the years of 1592 and 1616, Shakespeare lived in Stratford without the support of his own family whom he left in London. The relationship was bitter between him and Anne Hathaway, it is thought to be so because of the age difference and the fact that they only got married because Anne was pregnant. In his will, Shakespeare mentions Anne Hathaway only once. It is almost famous that he left her only his second best bed and nothing else, showing that she was not in good standing with him. Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616, his speculated birthday. Shakespeare ended up becoming the most famous playwright of all time. He not only wrote plays but he also wrote sonnets and narrative poems, using events from his life to inspire them. His work in literature has been very important and many of the themes that William Shakespeare used as basis for his works are still relevant in todays society making his work timeless. Despite having an unconventional marriage and life, Shakespeare still became famous because he was incredibly talented and successful.
