Recycling Update
April brought about some changes
to our recycling program.
Abitibi Recycling discontinued
recycling mixed materials (metal
cans and plastic bottles). Residents
are no longer able to drop off
mixed materials within Anthem.
However, the paper and cardboard bins
remain in the Community Center parking lot.
Additional information on where to take
other recyclables is available on the portal.
Work continues on options for
curbside recycling in Anthem.
Anthem administrative staff and members of
the Recycling Committee met with offcials
from the Town of Florence to discuss their
future plans for a curbside recycling program.
The Town has prepared a comprehensive
Request for Proposal that includes curbside
collection. It also includes a signifcant change
in how the Town manages its entire solid
waste program. Once approved, the proposal
will be sent to qualifed companies for bids.
They will then review the bids
and a recommendation will
be made to the Town Council.
We will continue to update Anthem residents as
progress is made on this very important project.

Compliance Update
All violations in the community are observed
during normal business hours and are
restricted to what can be viewed from the
street. So what do you do if you observe
a compliance issue after normal business
hours and/or one that would not be
detected from the street? You can submit a
violation complaint form to the Compliance
Administrator. This form can be downloaded
from the portal and returned to the Parkside
community center attention to Joy Swanda.
You will need to include your name and
address, the address of the alleged violation,
the details of the violation and a signature.
Once the form has been reviewed a
courtesy notice from the HOA is generated
and sent to the address. The recipient
has 15 days to respond/comply. If the
problem persists , contact the Compliance
Administrator for more information.

The Design Review Committee is looking
for volunteers to review architectural
submittals. The committee meets every 2
weeks on a Thursday at 9am. If you are
interested, please stop by to fll out an
application or download one on the portal.

The Parkside Piranhas are back and
joining the Central Arizona Swim League!
Several home and away meets will be
held during the summer season. The end
of season will include Relay meets and a
League Championship- Congratulations
again to the 2011 participants
who placed third in our league!
Children under 14 must be accompanied
by an adult (18+) at all times.
Running, horseplay, shoulder rides,
dunking or rowdiness is not permitted.
Hanging on lane markers, ladders, rails
or buoys in the lap pool is prohibited.
Oversized infatable or fotation
devices, including automobile inner
tubes, air mattresses, surfboards and
foating chairs, are not permitted in
pool. Small kickboards, mask and
snorkel, or water shoes, goggles are
permitted in pool only. We no longer
permit arm wings or swimmies.
Although water wings and other
novelty fotation devices are not
allowed at the Parkside pool, life jackets
that are certifed by the US Coast Guard
are encouraged. A US Coast Guard
certifed vest will have a stamp located
inside the jacket to verify certifcation.
A complete list of rules can be found
on the community portal or obtained
from the front desk. Please review them
with all household members to ensure
a safe and pleasant swim season for all.

lifelong learning travel programs. Road Scholar,
the not-for-proft world leader in educational
travel since 1975, offers 6,500 educational

around the world. Del Webb homeowners
can enroll in a series of Del Webb exclusive
national and international travel excursions
at a special savings and/or with incentives.
Del Webb homeowners will be eligible to
receive a $200 credit toward any other
