PREPAID SUMMER CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The Period of the Promotion

The Promotion will run from the 01 September - 31 December 2010, both dates inclusive. 2. Eligibility to Participate in the Promotion

You must be a resident in the South African Common Monetary Area.

Participation in the promotion is open to FNB customers only

Minors: FNB customers under the age of 16 (sixteen) are entitled to enter the promotion and receive the prizes provided that the appropriate parental/guardian consent and assistance was given when the minor entered into the agreement with the bank for the product/ services to which the promotion relates.

Qualifying criteria:

You will be eligible for entry to the promotion when you: - Buy either Vodacom, MTN, Cell C or Virgin Mobile prepaid airtime on FNB Cellphone Banking using *120*321#, *130*321#, FNB.mobi, via Online Banking and/or via the ATM.

You can buy airtime either for yourself or someone else; the winner will however be the person who buys the airtime using their FNB transactional account.

Minimum Airtime purchase amount to qualify to be entered for the competition is R10.

Exclusion from Participation 3.1 Cellphone Banking for Business customers are not eligible to enter this promotion,

3.2 FNB sole proprietors and business accounts are excluded from entry into this promotion, and

3.3 FNB Cellphone Banking Solutions Staff and FNB Smart Services Staff, their spouse/ life partner, siblings, children and parents will not be eligible to enter. 3.4 No persons besides those stated in the Eligibility clause, above are eligible to enter into this promotion.

4. Disqualification If you reverse the transaction during the promotion period your entry will be disqualified.

If your transactional account at FNB is closed at the time of the transfer of the prize money into your account you will be disqualified.

In the event that you win and you cannot be successfully contacted telephonically after three attempts by us from the date of the draw or you are unable for any reason whatsoever to accept the prize, you will be disqualified.

In the above instance a new winner will be re-drawn from the remaining qualifying participants in accordance with the same process and procedures as applicable to the original draw. 5. Prizes and Restrictions on Prizes One (1) winner of One Hundred Thousand rand (R100 000) each week for the duration of the promotion The prize money will be credited to the winners FNB transactional account.

The prize is not exchangeable and is neither transferable nor negotiable.

Each successful transaction qualifies as a single entry as shown, regardless of the amount.

6. The Draw

The promotion draws for the prize(s) will take place on the following dates: September 2010 entries: 10th, 17th, 27th and 01st October 2010 October 2010 entries: 08th, 15th 22nd, 29th, and 05th November 2010 November 2010 entries 12th, 19th, 26th and 03rd December 2010 December 2010 entries 10th, 17th, 24th and 05th January 2011

Should the promotion draw date be postponed to another date for any reason whatsoever, the new draw date will be published on our website, www.fnb.co.za within five (5) days of the original draw date. The winners will be selected randomly by an electronic system generated draw in the presence of the Auditor, Draw Master, Cellphone Banking Solutions Risk Manager and/or Cellphone Banking Solutions Legal & Compliance officer

7. Notification of Winners

An FNB representative will notify the winners by telephone within one week after the draw date. A letter of confirmation will subsequently be forwarded, by postal mail.

Winners may be requested to participate in publicity events and/or have their details disclosed and appear on radio, television, the Internet or in printed publications.

In the event that the winner(s) cannot be successfully contacted within 1 month of the draw date, or is unable for any reason whatsoever to accept the prize, a replacement winner will be randomly drawn from the remaining qualifying participants in the draw in accordance with the same process and procedures as applicable to the original draw.

Judges and Disputes To adjudicate specifically upon any persons eligibility to participate in or to receive a prize in the promotion and generally to deal with any other dispute which may arise in respect of the promotion, a representative or representatives, either together or in the alternative, of the Internal Audit Department of FirstRand Bank Limited will be appointed for the duration of the promotion and for a reasonable period thereafter. In the event of a dispute, the adjudicators/s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

General

If required as a result of changes in legislation or if deemed necessary for any other reason, the Bank will have the right to terminate this promotion immediately and without notice. In the event of such termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Bank, its agents and/or promoters

By entering into or participating in the promotion, no legally enforceable rights in respect of the promotion will arise on the part of the participant in respect of any contractual relationship which might exist.
