TREVIPARK
Soilmec designs, produces and installs mechanised automatic car park. Trevipark can be located in courtyards and garden areas with entrances at floor level or underground, without compromising the environment of the area concerned. The reduced sizes of the entry- and exitbay makes Treviparks environmental impact negligible. Internal safety of the car is assured by the antiintrusion, fire-fighting, anti-flood and ventilation systems that are computer-controlled. In turn, the computer is connected to the Treviparks control centre operating 24 hours a day. MAIN FEATURES - cars are moved automatically operating with engine switched off. - the car is moved using electro-mechanical equipment - each car is moved by the car-lift from the entry to the parking bay - the trolley collects and deposits the car - the speed of the trolley enables quick car movement to be achieved - the control systems uses the ground breaking technology - the emergency repair and maintenance teams - available everywhere allow a continuous operation of the system

CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS
22
- The main standard bearing structure is made of: continuous, circular concrete diaphragm wall reinforced precast concrete boxes for the car parking bays - Steel rotating tower provided with car-lift - Automatic trolley for car deposit and retrieval - Electro-mechanical and electronic devices for the automatic movement of the cars
PRETUNNEL
The pretunnel system is based on the construction of a concreted conic vault. The function of this vault is to hold the open hole during drilling and, depending on design thickness, to substitute the final lining of the tunnel. The chain saw is driven at an inclined angle and moved along the valut. The concrete is poured on the back of the saw and a slipform prevents it from leaking into the cutting area. Cutting and casting are done simultaneasly thus reducing operation time.

CDW
The CDW (Continuous Diaphragm Walls) system has been developed to enable the simultaneous excavation and concreting of diaphragm walls. Execution of the wall develops as a continuous working cycle, in such a way that production becomes nearly twice than what is obtainable by traditional means. The method adopted for excavation does not require the use of bentonite mud and therefore provides for a free and clean working area. The speed of execution, the absence of joints and the possibility to use self-hardening cement slurry mixtures makes the CDW system extremely competitive for the execution of hydraulic cut off. A chain saw is driven down into the ground; once design depth is reached, concrete is poured into the hole. The hydrostatic force created by the fresh concrete pushes the saw forward. The excavated unpolluted soil is directly loaded onto the trucks by a conveyor belt.
24
TURBOJET
Turbojet consists in mixing pre-set quantities of binder (grout or lime) into the ground and the mixing of the same with the insitu soil, in order to obtain consolidated columns ranging from 60 to 140 cm of diameter depending on tool size. To improve the mixing quality and achieve high production rate, mechanical disgregation and mixing done by blades and teeth have been combined with high pressure grout. A monitoring device, positioned inside the machine cab, records all the working parameters and provides a real time report of the production. The monitoring system records the following parameters: - drilling and withdrawal speed - rotation speed - torque hydraulic pressure - delivery rate and pressure of the cement grout (mixture)
REVERSE CIRCULATION
Reverse Circulation Drilling technology is also known as air-lifting drilling. Compressed air is fed into drill pipes and it is released just above the drilling tool. Here it reduces the density of drilling mud creating a differential pressure that rises the drilling mud inside the rods. Mud and debris flow upward and are discharged outside into a mud tank. Soilmec RCDS method combines Kelly drilling with Reverse Circulation Drilling. Both techniques are performed by the same rig since the design of RCD components provide for a quick change in less than 3 hours. Drilling starts in Kelly mode, with tools such as bucket, rock auger and core barrel, and continues with traditional RCD tools, once the soil condition has become harder. Model

ECOMAR
In cooperation with Italian Biological and Marine Research Dept. Soilmec has designed the Ecomar, an equipment for the collection of macro-algae and other floating waste in the sea. Ecomar A is a crawler mounted unit capable to work in soft soils. A metallic conveyor belt for the collection of the macroalgae is housed in the front part of the undercarriage. The equipment can also work on the foreshore where it comes the sand and collects macro-algae as well as waste which are deposited in proper tanks. Ecomar 1 is a real ecological barge suitable to work in seas, lakes, lagoons and rivers. The material is collected takes place in the front of the equipment, by three trapping belts that collect and convey the material to a stoking tank.
