Company Profile

PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. was established under the name of PT Suryaraya Cakrawala
based on Notarial Deed No. 12 of Ny. Rukmasanti Hardjasatya, S.H., dated October 3rd,
1988.

BasedontheCompanysArticlesofAssociation,thescopeofitsactivitiesistoengagein
plantation operation, general trading, manufacturing, transportation, consultation and
services.

The Company has investments in subsidiaries which are engaged in oil palm and rubber
plantationsandindustrialactivities.

TheCompanyandsubsidiariesheadofficesarelocatedatJalanPuloAyangRayaBlockOR
No.1,PulogadungIndustrialEstate,Jakarta.TheCompanysoilpalmplantationsof4,059
hectares are located in South Kalimantan and the cooking oil factory is located in North
Sumatra.ThesubsidiariesplantationsandmillsarelocatedinJava,Sumatra,Kalimantan,
andSulawesi.

Certain subsidiaries have been developing plasma plantations and managing cooperation
with plasma farmers in a total planted area of 60,126 hectares. The Company and
subsidiariesmillshaveeffectiveproductioncapacitiesof1,050tonsoffreshfruitbunches
(FFB)perhour,920tonsofkernelperday,and300tonsofcrudepalmoil(CPO)perday.

As of December 31st, 2011, the Company and subsidiaries had 26,473 permanent
employees.
