Lubricating

materials

in

industry often have an undesirable side effect: They can easily turn the safest of environment into dangerous ones. This problem is well understood by civil and structural engineers, and by the automotive industries. It is a particular problem for timber scaffolding boards. In the same way certain safety-relevant equipment such as high-water walkways or escape stairways can under adverse circumstances themselves turn into a source of danger. We have several solutions that help to counteract these issues.

Safety tested

As an experienced manufacturer of access and egress systems, such as walkways gratings and escape stairs and handrails, we always keep ourselves up to date with the current regulations and standards governing the construction of our products. Copies of our test reports are available on request. BG-(BIA-) Tested and certified

The Berufsgenossenschaftliche Institut fr Arbeitssicherheit (BIA) (The Professional Trade Association Institute for Safety at Work) tests the slip-resistancy and the deflection of the planks. Test report by MFPA (Material Testing Authority for Fire-Proof Planks): This serves as the basis for the general building supervision authority approvals for non-combustible and inflammable building materials.

Test report by RAL (German Institute for Quality Assessment and Certification Quality Assessment): The quality and testing regulations are valid for structural calculations and the manufacture of metal profile planks according to Quality Assessment RAL-GZ 639.

Couvrazed planks as a safety system for walking on roofs.

COUVRAZED

29

COUVRAZED slip-resistant metal profile planks have been developed by MEISER for areas that require increased safety, especially for working on dangerous and unstable roofs. With their coated aluminium bases these planks guarantee slip reduction by up to 40%. Even the most inexperienced can mount these planks quickly and safely. Another advantage is the weight: They are ultralight weighing a maximum of 15 kg per 3150 mm plank. Have any questions? Please ask us.
