Please be aware that administrator rights are needed for the installation proces s. Registration of Office Suite X as default application for Microsoft Office forma ts can be forced or suppressed by using the following command line switches with the installer:

* /msoreg=1 will force registration of Office Suite X as default application for Microsoft Office formats. * /msoreg=0 will suppress registration of Office Suite X as default application for Microsoft Office formats. If you perform an administrative installation using setup /a, you need to make s ure that the file msvc90.dll is installed on the system. This file is required f or Office Suite X to start after an administrative installation. You can get the file from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B2DA534-3E0 3-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF Please be aware that administrator rights are needed for the installation proces s. Please make sure you have enough free memory in the temporary directory on your system and that read, write and run access rights have been granted. Close all o ther programs before starting the installation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------Extension Database Incompatibility ---------------------------------------------------------------------The Berkeley database engine has been upgraded in this version of Office Suite X . The database engine upgrade introduces an incompatibility with user data for i nstalled extensions for Office Suite X versions prior to 3.2 that may require yo ur action if you downgrade your version of Office Suite X. This version of Office Suite erkeley database format when version, the database can no X. Downgrading to an earlier X will convert your extension database to the new B extensions are installed or removed. If these problems occur, please update your graphics card driver or try using the graphi cs driver delivered with your operating system. Difficulties displaying 3D objec ts can often be solved by deactivating the option "Use OpenGL" under 'Tools - Op tions - Office Suite X - View - 3D view'. ---------------------------------------------------------------------ALPS/Synaptics notebook touchpads in Windows ---------------------------------------------------------------------Due to a Windows driver issue, you cannot scroll through Office Suite X document s when you slide your finger across an ALPS/Synaptics touchpad. To enable touchpad scrolling, add the following lines to the "C:\Program Files\S ynaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.ini" configuration file, and restart your computer: [Office Suite X]

If a key combination in Office Suite X does not work as de scribed in the Office Suite X Help, check if that shortcut is already used by th e operating system. To rectify such conflicts, you can change the keys assigned by your operating system. Alternatively, you can change almost any key assignmen t in Office Suite X. For more information on this topic, refer to the Office Sui te X Help or the Help documention of your operating system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------Problems When Sending Documents as E-mails From Office Suite X ---------------------------------------------------------------------When sending a document via 'File - Send - Document as E-mail' or 'Document as P DF Attachment' problems might occur (program crashes or hangs). This is due to t he Windows system file "Mapi" (Messaging Application Programming Interface) whic h causes problems in some file versions. Unfortunately, the problem cannot be na rrowed down to a certain version number.
