Secured access to critical reimbursement streams for local public charter schools, enabling access to millions in local and federal funding to support public education in the Washington, DC. On behalf of a Medicaid provider, recovered more than $500 million of past receivables, as well as restructured process for ongoing revenue recovery. Assisted fortune 500 company design and implement its community engagement and urban market penetration strategy, allowing entry into new markets. RIGHTSOURCE, LLC WASHINGTON, DC Managing Principal ~ (November 2006 to November 2011) Co-founder and Managing Partner of strategic consulting firm providing operations and finance, organizational development, program assessments, capacity building support to small and mid-sized companies, not-for-profit and public agencies.

Accomplishments:
Assisted a non-profit business organization rebrand and expand its programming expanding not only the organizations fee-for-service opportunities, but also its member value proposition. Engaged by healthcare client to secure a large healthcare contract. Negotiated revenue contracts, as well as established the financial operating and auditing structures. GOVERNMENT OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WASHINGTON, DC Chief of Staff, Executive Office of the Mayor ~ (August 2001 to August 2004) Managed and provided leadership direction for the Executive Office of the Mayor and District agencies, including communications, intergovernmental and community relations (local, federal, regional, national and international affairs). Also responsible for strategic policy development and implementation, including the preparation of the Districts $5 billion budget, direct management of $6.9 million office budget and identification of District-wide operations savings in excess of $325 million. Accomplishments:
Co-Chaired annual city Budget Review Team, which created and shepherded the annual budget. Identified operational savings, closing back-to-back budget gaps in excess of $100 million. Coordinated development and implementation of citywide strategic plan and citizen summits. Increased federal funding to city over $200 million over prior years, as well as White House, regional and federal agency coordination, as well as led local and federal initiative to secure record financial support for education reform initiatives. Created the Districts first Ex-Offender Coordinating Council and Constituency Office, providing comprehensive reintegration, workforce readiness and job placement support for returning offenders. FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITIES, INCORPORATED TALLAHASSEE, FL Director, Legislative and Public Affairs ~ (January 1994 to January 2001) Managed and directed the association's state and federal legislative policy and public affairs programs.
