Parallel EIA system: Links between ADBs EIA process and Governments EIA system (AMDAL) is not strong Quality of AMDAL documents implementation documents, ineffectiveness and low level of ownership AMDAL documents within proponents and government agencies Some equivalence issue like principles of categorization of g projects Inadequate public consultation process AMDAL not yet used as an effective tool for sustainable development d l t Capacity of AMDAL review, assessment and enforcement at national and local levels needs strengthening
