GREENVILLE AMTRAK COMPLEX

SYNTHESIS STUDIO

PROF. ROBERT BRUHNS FULL-SEMESTER SOLO PROJECT design for a mixed-use project on a large site that combines a complex program with a number of interesting urban site conditions in Greenville, S.C. the scheme combines a large train station, retail units, and housing. the main driving concept is the focus on a monolithic train station. representing the train and industry, the building composes of heavy concrete and steel use.

01

the site is broken into three major programmatic schemes: train station, retail + housing, and housing units the train station is the central focus of the design. the program combines a use for ticketing, offices, and a cafe. 01 design theme word art 02 site plan 03 east elevation 04 train station ground floor plan 05 train station 1st floor plan 06 train station 2nd floor plan 07 train station east section 08 train station north section 09 model photos N

GRADUATE RESEARCH CENTER

ARCH FOUNDATIONS

PROF. LYNN CRAIG HALF-SEMESTER SOLO PROJECT the graduate research center is a large program project for wind turbine research that is located at the Navy Yard in Charleston, S.C. there are several driving ideas for the design concept. The heavy concrete and steel represent the past monolithic presence of the Navy that is no longer present in the area since the 1980s. Secondly the pushing and pulling of the floor plans represent the massive docks that site on the waters edge found in the aerial photos.

PROF. RAY HUFF FULL-SEMESTER TEAM PROJECT the medical university of Charleston, S.C. hired our studio of 7 to give new ideas to renovate their out-dated library. the project consisted of multiple client presentations on analysis and development. my role in the final client presentations was the model making.

most of the semester was spent researching and analysis of the library. in the final weeks of the project the graduate students worked the final concept design. my role was to solo model the designs.
