(iv) ASSISTANT LECTURER CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY
(i) LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in the field of Church History or a Master degree in the same field with three years teaching
experience at University level plus evidence of current registration for Ph.D in Church History.
OR
LECTURER I CHURCH HISTORY
Applicants should possess Ph.D in the field of Church History with at least three years post- qualification teaching experience
at the University level.
OR
ASSISTANT LECTURER CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY
Applicants should possess a good Master degree in the field with evidence of current registration for Ph.D in Christian
Theology.
(i) LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D in Entomology and at least three years experience in teaching and research in Entomology
at the University level. In addition, applicants must have published at least 3 scholarly articles in reputable national and
international journals.
(ii) LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Entomology and must be able to teach the subject at the University level.
Scholarly publications and a good knowledge of ICT will be an added advantage.
(iii) LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Genetics and at least three years teaching and research in Genetics at the
University level. In addition, applicants must have published at least 3 scholarly articles in reputable national and international
journals.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Genetics and must be able to teach the subject at the University level. Scholarly
publications and a good knowledge of ICT will be an added advantage.
FACULTY OF EDUCATION
SENIOR LECTURER
Applicants should possess a good first degree preferably in Education and a Master degree in Library and Information
Studies. A Ph.D in Library and Information Studies is required.
Applicants should have at least six (6) years teaching and research experience at the University level as well as publications in
reputable journals.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess NCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., and Ph.D degrees. Previous teaching experience in a recognized University
will be an added advantage.
FACULTY OF SCIENCE
Applicants should possess M.Sc. in Archaeology or Palaobotany. They should have a good knowledge of Palynology and
demonstrate a good understanding in the subject of Fossil Spores and Pollens. Applicants should also be eligible to register
for Ph.D. It would be an added advantage if applicants are already registered for Ph.D in the field of Palaeo –Palymology.

LECTURER I
Applicants should possess good first degree, Master degree and a Ph.D in Computer Science with a focus in either of the two
areas specified above. In addition, applicants should have had three years of teaching experience at the University level and
evidence of relevant publication in reputable journals would be required.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a good first degree and a Master degree in Computer Science. They should have four years post-
qualification experience in Software Development Environment. Evidence of Ph.D registration would be a major advantage.
SENIOR LECTURER
Applicants should possess a B.Sc. degree in Physics and a Ph.D degree in the relevant field with at least six years of post-
qualification teaching experience at the University level with evidence of scholarly publications and leadership in research.
LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a B.Sc. degree in Physics and a Ph.D in the relevant field with at least three years of post-
qualification teaching experience at the University level and evidence of scholarly publications.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a good first degree in Physics and a Ph.D in the relevant discipline. Evidence of research and
scholarly publications would be an advantage.
ASSISTANT LECTURER
Applicants should possess an M.Sc. degree and must have registered for Ph.D. The first degree must be in Physics and
class of degree must not be below Second Class Lower Division. Teaching experience at the University level will be an
advantage.
Applicants should possess a good first degree, a Master degree and a Ph.D. in Statistics. In addition, applicants should have
at least six (6) years of previous teaching and research experience at the University level as well as adequate research and
publications in reputable academic journals in any of the above areas of specialization.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a good first degree and a Ph.D in any of the indicated areas of specialization.
FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY
PROFESSOR
LECTURER I/II
PROFESSOR
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Civil Engineering or any other relevant Engineering discipline with ten (10) years
of teaching and research experience at the University level.
Applicants should be registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or any other reputable
and relevant professional body.
They should possess evidence of outstanding research, good record of scholarly publications in reputable learned journal
and leadership qualities to build up the academic programmes in the department. They should also be able to stimulate inter-
speciality research as well as supervise doctoral candidates in one or more of the following areas: Structures, Construction
Materials, Highway and Transportation, Water Resources, Environmental and Public Health Engineering, Geotechnical
Engineering etc.
LECTURER I/II
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field with at least four (4) years of
University teaching and research experience in a reputable University. Registration with COREN or any other reputable
University and relevant professional body will be an advantage.
A COREN registered Engineer with an M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of teaching and research experience in a
recognized University will be considered for Lecturer II. Such applicants should have registered for Ph.D. programme.
LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in any of the following:
Food Science and Technology (Food Chemistry and Food Analysis) or Food Engineering.
In addition, applicants should have a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in teaching/research or in the
Industry. Evidence of scholarly publications would be required.
Successful candidate will be expected to supervise postgraduate students’ research projects and conduct research in any of
the specialized areas of Food Science and Technology.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess an M.Sc. degree in Food Science and Technology (Food Chemistry and Food Analysis) or Food
Engineering with evidence of Ph.D. registration in a recognized University. Teaching experience at the university level will be
an advantage

LECTURER I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. and evidence of Specialization in International Communication Law and Intellectual
Property Law. Specialized knowledge in any other area of International Law will be an added advantage.
LECTURER II
Applicants should possess a good first degree in Law preferably a First Class or Second Class Upper Division plus a
postgraduate (LLM or M.Ph.D) degree from a recognized University. Applicants should also specialize in Clinical Legal
Education with practical experience in administering a Law Clinic.
READER Physiotherapy
(i) Basic Physiotherapy degree from a reputable University and registrable with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board
of Nigeria (MRTBN) plus a higher degree of Ph.D or its equivalent.
(ii) Adequate Professional Competence.
(iii) At least 9 years of adequate teaching experience in a reputable University.
(iv) Outstanding research capability and demonstration of ability to supervise research projects.
(v) Substantial number of applications in peer-reviewed journals within and outside Nigeria not less than 70% of which must
be journals of international standard. Not more than 33% of the journal papers should have been published in the same
journal.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The appointment, which is to commence as soon as possible, is for three years initially. It may be extended for specific periods or
confirmed to retiring age. Fringe benefits include a Pension Scheme or comparable arrangement as may be approved from time to
time by the University Council, residential accommodation or housing allowance at an approved rate and passages for approved
Overseas Study Leave.
