The Restored Kingdom of David

Amos 9:11-12 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this. Davids kingdom, which was in ruins due to the apostasy of the kings of Israel, would be rebuilt and cause the Gentiles to seek the Lord. Acts 15:15-17 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. The coming in of the Gentiles in the book of Acts is the fulfillment of the restoration of the tabernacle of David. Davids tabernacle (tent) represents his kingdom, his throne. Jesus, the son of David, would sit on the throne of David, and rule over his enemies. Jesus was raised from the dead to sit on this throne. Acts 2:30-31 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. The throne of David is now a heavenly throne. The restoration is spiritual and heavenly, not worldly and earthly. Jesus sits on this throne. Jesus rule is heavenly and spiritual. Those who call him Lord are a part of this kingdom. Those who are born again have access to this kingdom. The kingdom of God is the restored kingdom of David. Ezekiel 34:24-26 And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it. And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. Jesus is the greater David of prophecy. Those who are in the kingdom are delivered from evil beasts (demons) and enjoy peace (shalom). Believers have access to the hill of God and showers of blessing.
