(90 words max) I believe having a mathematical background is an essential asset for any individual to work in Finance. It equips one with good analytical skills and a healthy understanding of numbers. Mathematics has certainly enriched me with the qualities needed to work in the finance department. I have the ability of breaking down complex situations, and making full use of it at Barclays is an essential part of my goal. I have taken advantage of different courses such as Communication skills and Leadership and management to enhance my working techniques. I believe that my past academic excellence, whilst following a degree in the same field will be a great foundation in applying for this role. The diverse positions of responsibilities I have held I am certain, will prove to be vital. The intricate workings of large organisations, along with my involvement in decision making at a variety of academic levels, they have required me to adapt to and excel in various situations, sharpening my skills in communication, time management, motivating people, public speaking and leadership. They have also given me an opportunity to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and taught me how to better face challenges.
