Samurai helmet

Trace the helmet template onto coloured cardboard and cut out.

This activity kit contains:
1. Make and do activity steps 1 - 6 2. Four template pages Visit http://play.powerhousemuseum.com to download any missing elements.

Pull together and overlap the back two side aps of the template. Staple securely.

Pull the top ap over and staple it rmly to the other aps.

Turn the helmet around and repeat steps 1 and 2 for the front aps.

Things you need:

two large sheets of metallic or coloured cardboard stapler glue scissors

Using template 3, cut out the horn decoration using different coloured cardboard and staple to the middle of the helmet forehead. Cut out the side aps and glue on the ower decorations. When they are dry, glue the side aps to the helmet.

Template 1
Samurai helmet: 1. Print two copies of templates 1 and 2. 2. Cut out the templates and turn one copy of each shape to the reverse side. 3. Stick the four shapes together, matching A-A, B-B then C-C. 3. Your nished template should look like the picture below. 4. Use this as a template to cut out your helmet shape from the metallic cardboard.
