Lets Invite.!
Ramadan is a special time when Muslims do many good deeds and help each other. One way
of helping each other is by sharing things that you have. Pretend you are inviting the families
of two of your friends for Iftar. This a way to share with other Muslims. Complete the two
invitations and fill in the information that is needed. Mail your invitation and have fun at Iftar!

Iftar Treat: Fried Dates
Remember: Cook only with parental supervision!
Ingredients:
At least a handful of dates with the stones removed (If the dates are quite dry soak them
for a while in water to rehydrate them).
A little oil or butter/margarine 1-2 tablespoons just to coat the bottom of a small frying
pan.
Some toasted sesame seeds, chopped nuts or desiccated coconut.
Directions/Preparation:
Warm the dates with the oil and mash them together until they start to fry a little and
start to smell slightly caramelized. Don't overdo it or the dates will burn and become hard
and crunchy.
Tip the hot dates into the serving dish and sprinkle with the chopped nuts to decorate.
You can leave the dates as they come out of the pan or smooth over with a knife and you
will find that you can get a lovely shiny and smooth texture.
Eat with a spoon or your fingers.
N.B. Be careful not to burn yourself - the dates become very hot due to the high
sugar content.
Remember: Cook only with parental supervision!

another time inshaAllaah.
