Join The Hinterlands and MOCAD this summer for Make it! Play it! a IUHH two-week summer camp on creating and performing original theatre for artists ages 12 through 16. Committed participants will work with The Hinterlands, a physical theatre ensemble, as well as guest artists from around the city in:
Ensemble-based theatre Puppetry Music and vocal skill Physical comedy Basic acrobatics Writing and improvisation Multi-media arts within performance Theatrical design
Camp schedule: June 25 through July 7, 2012 Monday - Friday 9AM - 4:30 PM (12 noon - 1:30 PM lunch) Final performance 2PM, Saturday, July 7
Previous acting experience not necessary; students interested only in technical aspects of theatre can also apply. Students must participate in every day of the camp to be eligible for the final performance. Snacks are provided daily, but participants should bring their own lunch during the workshop.

MOCAD Youth Summer Workshop with artists in residence The Hinterlands Student Application
The camp runs from June 25 - July 7, 2012 in the MOCADs Woodward Gallery, meeting 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM until 4:30 PM with a final performance at 2PM on Saturday, July 7. Snacks will be provided; participants should bring their own lunch. Previous acting experience not necessary; students interested only in technical aspects of theatre can also apply. The camp will be highly physical, but individuals of all physical capabilities are encouraged to apply. Students must participate in every day of the camp to be eligible for the final performance. Space is limited, so please apply as soon as possible. Parents or legal guardians must sign a MOCAD waiver on the first day of camp.
