Annexure A-ADMISSION PROCEDURES FOR INDIANS Eligibility: Children must be between the ages of 6 and 12 years as on 31st March 2012. Isha Home School recognizes the need to offer a variety of subject choices for the students in their crucial years in Class XI and XII and we are happy to offer a wide variety of combinations. Suggestions to parents and students while choosing subjects:
We are sure that you have thought a good deal about your child's future career and potential before making choices about the subject combinations for Class XI and XII. We urge you to consider the following few points also: Note 1: The ISC curriculum has a high degree of complexity as compared to other Boards and also to the level that the students have been exposed to at the ICSE level. As a result some students who have fared well in the ICSE tend to struggle at the ISC level. Therefore you are urged to be both dispassionate and circumspect in choosing your ISC electives. Do not therefore make choices based on what the student's peers are making or with what the current trend is. Please make a realistic choice based on the child's passion and his capability. Do talk to his/her previous class teacher to make a realistic judgment. Note 2: We understand that some universities require students to have done Mathematics up to XII standard in order to become eligible for a B.Com course. Kindly keep this in mind while selecting the groups for your son/daughter, after checking with those universities that he/she is likely to apply for pursuing his/her undergraduate course. Note 3: The subject choices you give are binding; the re-admission decision could be contingent on your declared choice. Change of elective subjects after admission is possible, only in the first fortnight. Note 4: Attached is a list of subject choices that are generally preferred for pursuing higher studies in predetermined courses. This is for your convenience. Note 5: Students applying for admission to class XI must appear & pass an examination conducted by a recognized board as per the CISCE requirements.
