Rana Gouda's Plan for Communication Position at AUC SU'12

Structure of Communications Committee:

Communications is the most important thing in any activity , event etc . Good communication plans lead to success. Communications can be through many ways like fb , twitter , whatsapp , blackberry messenger , phonecalls , face to face and many more . My structure for AUC SU communications committee this year will be as follows : 1- ON CAMPUS TEAM : This team will communicate with everyone on campus not only students but faculty and staff as well . They will be responsible for each and every place on campus ; offices , classroom , study rooms , restaurants , caf's , halls , dorms and all other places on campus . They will communicate by using banners ,flyers and talking face to face . -They will be divided into 4 smaller teams : a) Team 1 is responsible for the part that starts from Americana Food court passing through the international office , FYE office , CAPS office , Bassily hall and the opposite hall as well , the upper floor of the bassily hall , sports center & Seoudi Mini market to the dorms . In this team with minimum 5-7 members are required. b) PLAZA Team 2 is responsible for the part that starts from the plaza copy center passing through the OSD , Jameel building ( including all classrooms ) , all booths , salad fiesta , oriental food court , the library ,SSE Building , UACT ,core building to Cinnabon and SU market . In this team with minimum 5 members are required. c) PVA Team 3 is responsible for the part that starts from the "steps" passing through the registrar , quick , bagels , saladero , CIB , Omda PVA to the slide . In this team with minimum 5 members are required. d) PVA II Team 4 is responsible for the part that starts from the PVA copy center passing through the administration building , PVA building to Gate no 1 . In this team with minimum 5 members are required.

2- OFF CAMPUS TEAM : This team will communicate with everyone off campus ; universities , schools , sports clubs , restaurants , caf's ,hotels etc . They will be responsible for all places that can be related to the projects of SU . They will communicate by using banners ,flyers and talking face to face . 3-TECHNOLOGY TEAM : This team will communicate with people through Facebook , twitter ,whatsapp , websites , emails , blackberry messenger etc . a) Facebook Team : They will create events , pages , groups and share them to their friends . They will daily check and update. b) Twitter Team : They will create an account for SU and its projects . They will daily check and update. c) SU Website Team : They will daily check and update the website for AUC SU d) Email Team : They will send emails to lots of people daily to update them with SU news and projects

Some remarkable notes to make : The members of each team will not remain the same throughout the year, they will exchange roles and places upon request . The reason for this division is that each division has its own kind of people and I mean students mainly. Students who stay at the plaza are different in character than those who stay at the steps and those who stay at the steps are even more different in character than those who stay at PVA . As for complains , a booth should be set throughout the whole semester in a certain place on campus to let students easily communicate with SU . As for feedbacks , each team will go ask the people of their part about their feedbacks concerning SU projects . A Weekly survey should take place beside the Buses and the parking lots when students are going home so as to statistically calculate the rate of satisfaction of students . All Technology team will be responsible for their contacts list on BBM , WHATS APP & MSN they have to take the full responsibility to inform everyone on their contacts lists about SU Piece of news and projects . I highly recommend a blackberry to be bought especially for SU . Where students can add AUC SU on their blackberry messengers and they could get updates and piece of news out there .
