Statements 20 Aug 2010 Hlung Kyae said his party is struggling to pay candidate fees. He believes that no party will win by a landslide in the election and that his party will win some of the seats in Chin State. Furthermore he said the CPP had held discussions with the CNP on forming an alliance to contest the election. 16 Aug 2010 Party vice chairman U Noe Htan Kut said a lack of political knowledge in remote areas of Chin State is hampering the partys efforts to sign up members. 6 Aug 2010 Representatives from the Chin Progressive Party and Chin National Party say they are confident that only ethnic parties will be able to emerge winners from the polling in Chin State.

The Union Election Commission granted permission to the Chin Progressive Party with its headquarters at Room (22), Building (2) of Pyi Yeik Mon Housing on Nanattaw Road in Ward-8 in Kamayut Township, Yangon Division to register as a political party as of 1 June 2010. The registration number of the Chin Progressive Party is (26).
