Paragraph 1 Jhabite Perth, qui se trouve au centre de lcosse. 72 kilomtres au sud, il y a la capitale, Edimbourg, mais au nord il y a les montagnes, et 50 kilomtres lest, il y a la mer. Perth est une ville importante avec une population de 44 000 habitants. La ville est situe sur un grand fleuve, qui sappelle River Tay. Cest une ville commerciale et tranquille. Il y a un centre-ville piton agrable.

Guidance Read paragraph 1 and spot examples of the following: Adjectives Make your writing more interesting by using adjectives. Use a variety rather than repeating the same ones.

Extended sentences Use link words (et, mais, etc) and the relative pronoun qui to make your sentences longer and more sophisticated.

Writing strategy Marks are awarded for accuracy, so be careful where you put adjectives. Most go after the noun, e.g. une ville importante, but some, usually describing size, go in front of it, e.g. un grand fleuve. And remember, adjectives must also be masculine or feminine, singular or plural like the noun they go with.

Now improve this answer (see below) to make it worth grade C or above, by adding in adjectives and link words to make longer sentences.

Use qui to describe the location. Use et to link the second and third sentences.
