a comprehensive overview of clinical psychology. Topics include definition of clinical psychology, its history as a profession, diagnosis and classification of disorders, examination of assessment techniques, therapeutic intervention techniques and issues related to ethics. Course Objectives: At the end of the semester, students are expected to have: 1. Review and discuss methods of clinical assessment 2. Learn the fundamentals of treatment planning 3. Review concepts behind and techniques of selected psychotherapies 4. Seen diverse activities of clinical psychologists 5. Develop group writing and presentation skills Value Objective: Fully aware of the Christian, disciplinal, and professional characteristics of the eight core values that guide Lasallian education, the students must completely and excellently apply these values by exhibiting honesty during exams, following critical thinking in problem analysis and problem solving, being innovative in approach, being morally compassionate thus sharing talents to those lacking intellectual giftedness, and promoting social awareness and patriotism.
