Details Job Description: Morton's The Steakhouse, America's finest steakhouse, has an immediate opportunity available at their Restaurant Support Center located in Downtown Chicago for a Benefits & Compensation Manager. In this position you will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation and ongoing administration all benefit programs, policies and procedures for the Restaurant Support Center and Restaurants. Key company representative with brokers, carriers, and employees on quality assurance and budget adherence of company benefit programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Benefit Programs *Point person with HR & People Development and Finance teams to work with brokers and outside resources and help drive company decisions with Benefits RFP processes and ongoing performance standards of current carriers/vendor partners. *Oversee, administer, manage and ensure legal and internal requirements are being followed for all Morton's benefit plans including Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), the Flexible Spending Plan and other supplemental benefits and wellness programs *Manage existing deferred compensation programs such as 401K and lead research into other qualified and nonqualified options with VP, HR & People Development and CFO. This includes the responsibility of being the Secretary and member of the 401K Compensation Committee. *Work in close partnership with Payroll and Finance to reconcile plan and invoice management with all providers and vendor partners *Manage and develop the Benefits Administrator(s) as direct reports *Assist domestic accountants(s) and brokers with international benefit plan administration and renewal *Assist management and employees with maximizing and understanding benefit plans *Communicate changes in benefit policies, open enrollment and plan changes to vendors and employees *Process leave of absence and short term disability claims for Restaurant Support Center employees *Manage benefit payroll deductions, deduction changes and benefits reporting

*Conduct annual ADP/ACP discrimination testing, 5500 reporting, Summary Plan Description updates, etc. Compensation *Work closely with VP, HR & People Development in participating and supporting a compensation committee to drive analyses and direction in overall compensation philosophy and plans. Internal Communication and Recognition Programs *Participate in ongoing meetings, fundraising communication, create and organize approval committee members, manage fund request applications and check distribution for the employee assistance fund *Oversee and manage the Company's Benchmark Anniversary Recognition program *Develop and implement annual programming to promote wellness initiatives *Create ongoing benefits communication for Company intranet, employee newsletters, annual open enrollment and benefit new hire packages *Maintain and ensure legal compliance with HIPAA Privacy Regulations and ensure safeguards are in place to protect employee's protected health information *Other duties as assigned to meet business needs Job Requirements: *Strong working knowledge of Payroll function and process with special emphasis in systems, ADP experience preferred * Skilled in the conception and generation of reports through same systems *5 years of experience in high volume, multi-state operations involving self funded benefits as well as compensation plans *1-2 years prior supervisory experience *Degree in Business or related field *Restaurant industry experience in a benefits, compensation, and/or HR management capacity preferred *Ability to handle confidential information *Ability to supervise and provide direction to others *Computer skills with a proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint *Excellent oral and written business communication and presentation skills *Skilled to lead, facilitate, and/or participate within a group dynamic *Thorough understanding of laws regarding COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Statutory State Disability and other laws impacting employee benefits
