Poles meet International Standards (BS EN)
for heavy duty Mild Steel Hot Dip Galvanized Light Poles
with an appropriate thickness that can withstand
very hot and humid climate. The Galvanized Poles
are protected against corrosion and its durability ranges
even over 100 years.
Poles designed to meet maximum loading
using Bracket Confguration, Poles are manufactured
with optional as Flanged (with Base) or Root Base.
Poles are durable and are easy to transport
and install. The Poles can be used for lighting highways,
industrial areas, parking lots, play grounds and public
parks using the appropriate pole height. One, two or more
Consoles (Brackets/Arms) can be used depending
on the type and width of roads or areas to be lightened.
The Console innovative shapes and light fttings
can be designed to provide delegate views and
appropriate illumination.
Poles can also be used for traffc lights,
fags and similar usage.
Design loads and calculations are based
on BS EN 40 (BS 5469) meeting Dead loads,
Wind Pressure etc.
Street Light Poles are installed at many locations
in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Qatar and exported to other
countries.

SHOT BLASTING
AMGARD is having wonderful facility of Automatic Shot Blasting for Ferrous Metals
using fne steel grits to get perfect cleaning with uniform fnish keeping ready for
fnal coats of paint or galvanizing. These blasting may be carried out to Customers
roughness average specifcation which is maintained by digital measurment. Cleaned
surface by this Shot blasting will be free from oil, grease, dirt, mill scale, rust etc.
The working window size of this shot blasting is 1000mm wide and 700mm height.

Continuous growth of AMEERI GROUP focused in another new direction towards Hot-
Dip Galvanizing and constructed the new Galvanizing Plant at Askar, behind ALBA and it
successfully started in July 2006.
The Galvanizing Plant constructed in 100 mtr long 20 mtr wide factory area dedicated for Hot
Dip Galvanizing with six Pre-treatment Tanks of 12 mtr long x 1.5 mtr wide x 2.9 mtr deep,
1no. Cooling Tank of 12 mtr long x 1.5 mtr wide x 2.9 mtr deep and 1no. Passivation Tank
(Di-chromate) of 12 mtr long x 1.5 mtr wide x 2.9 mtr deep.
TWIN HOT-DIP GALVANIZING KETTLE of 12.5 mtr long x 1.5 mtr wide x 2 mtr deep Size and
6 mtr Long x 1.2 mtr wide x 2 mtr deep size.

Hot dip galvanizing is conforming the international standard of ASTM A123 or
BS EN ISO 1461 (Old version BS729), which is essential for a good quality hot dip galvanized
product.
Using zinc is to protect steel from corrosion.
Corrosion is caused by the inherent tendency of metals, when subjected to air and moisture,
to revert to their original earthly forms, usually an ore state. They do this through a chemical
or electrochemical reaction with the environment.
HOT DIP GALVANIZING is the BEST SOLUTION to
PROTECT STEEL from CORROSION.
Hot dip galvanizing has been in use for more than Hundred years and has proven to be the
best method of corrosion protection for iron and steel.
The climatic conditions in the Gulf with its high humidity and salt contents make hot dip
galvanizing an ideal solution for corrosion protection for iron and steel structures. This is even
more important for KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN.

Cathodic protection is exactly what hot dip galvanizing provides to the steel that is coated
with Zinc which increase the life and reduce its maintenance.
The hot dip galvanized coating uniquely provides both barrier and cathodic protection to
the steel. Galvanizing protection is superior to other barrier coatings, such as fusion bonded
epoxy (FBE), in the formation of a permanent bond with the steel. The molten zinc interlocks
with the steel forming zinc-iron layers and creating a true metallurgical bond. Other barrier
coatings rely on surface adhesion of the coating material to the steel.
Zinc has a higher electro-potential than steel. The zinc actually migrates to bare areas, such
as scratches or drill holes to provide corrosion protection. The zinc protects the base steel
from corrosion. The malleable outer zinc layer of the coating provides good impact resistance
to the galvanized coating. The hardness of the zinc-iron alloy layer is actually greater than the
base steel and provides exceptional resistance to coating damage due to handling.
Hot-dip galvanizing has a proven history of commercial success as a method of corrosion
protection in myriad applications worldwide.
