TENNIS

A. Original :
Tennis is come from France. It was called Le Jeu Du Paume at that time and it was not called tennis until 16th century.

In the 13th century, a musician introduced a gentle game to guests in the party in France. To play the game we need to people, one stand here and the other stand another side with a rope to separated them. Those two people use hand to hit the ball with the music. The ball is constructed by cloth which filled with feather and hair.

At that time, the nobility thought that it was as interesting game, so they always hold this game in their party. Afterwards, people started to use racket to hit the ball.

In the 14th century, tennis was introduced to England. Since then, France and England started to hold many games to play with each other. It is said that King Edward III built a tennis court. But, in the same time, everyone was so crazy about tennis that he/she forgot his/her duty. Because of this phenomenon, the King declared that he forbad playing tennis. In 16th century tennis was popular in France, England and other European country. And, tennis was banned again because of gambling.

Tennis became more equal after World War II; it was not just belong to nobility any more.

Modern tennis was started in the last 19th; Mary introduced tennis into America and constructed the first tennis court in America. Tennis became very popular soon and developed to a dynamic, fast action and skillful sport. In 1881, United State Tennis Association formulated the rules and these rules made tennis had the consistent provision.

B. Australia Open :
Australia Open is one of the four grand slams. It was hold in 1905. Compared to other three games, Australia Open is the youngest one. It was always held on the last two weeks in January every year.

Nowadays, there are four games around the world. French Open Australia Open The Championships, Wimbledon U.S. Open The latest competition was hold in Australia on January 16th this year. It attracted thousands of people to flock together in Australia.

Australia Open is one of the four grand slams. It was hold in 1905. Compared to other three games, Australia Open is the youngest one. It was always held on the last two weeks in January every year.

Every January, the excited tennis competition begins in Melbourme in Australia. It attracts so many tennis lovers and millions audiences around the world to get together to cheer their favorite contestant up. Even though it might be a rainy day, players can go on their competition because the tennis court of Australia Open is the only one which has the automatic roof. We dont have to worry about the bad weather.

In January, 2012, the excited game was hold as usual. Something different is that I also joined this big event. In the beginning, every player did their best to win the game. It was so excited that no one can move their eyes to other places. In the last game, the champion, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, performed the most excited game up to now. Djokovic spent five hours and fifty-three minutes to defeat his enemy and eventually defended his throne.

C. TOP 4 around the world


.New number one around the world- Novak Djokovic:
Novak Djokovic was born in Serbia on May 22nd in 1987 and now he lives in Monaco. He has 187 centimeters high and 80 weight. He has begun playing tennis since he was four years old. In 2003, he started his career in tennis. He uses his right hand to hold the tennis racket and used two hands to hold when he has to backhand. At first, he was not as famous as he is now. He was ranked in 78 but he went up to 40 very soon.

In 2008, Djokovic defeated Federal and won his first championship. He became the first Grand Slam champion in Serbia. Until January 2012, he totally won 5 championships in Grand slam, and many gold medals in other games.

. Rafael Nadal :
Nadal was born on June 3rd, 1986. He is Spanish. He is 185 centimeters high and 85 kilograms. His nickname is Rafa. He was born in an athlete family. His uncle taught him tennis since he was 3 years old. When he was eight years old, he not only won the championship of tennis but also became the potential pioneer in soccer. His nervous of athlete appeared when he was just a little child. Nadal started his career of tennis in 2001. In the same year, Nadal defeated the champion of grand slam in a red earth exhibition. Nadal is very good at red earth competition. In 2003, Nadal became top 100 and as the second youngest player around the world. In the last 2003, Nadal won two championship of TAP Challenger. Next year, Nadal had to give up the competition because of his ankles fracture. After recovering, he expressed his power again. In 2005, Nadal became the youngest player in top 10 around the world. In July 2005, Nadal rose to No.2. He defeated No.1: Federal in 2006. Because of this result, Nadal gave Federal the first failure in the last competition in grand slam. In 2008~2009, Nadal became the newest top one and won so many championship in many tennis competitions. In his early life, Nadal was a defend player. He used his strong topspin, rapid steps and strong willpower to oppress his opponents. His best skill is the strong topspin. The rotation of the ball he hit can rotate 500 times; it is really fast than any other players. Experts named it Nadal spin

. Roger Federer:
Roger Federer was born in Switzerland on August 8th in 1981. He is 185 centimeters high. He uses right hand to hold the racquet. He has started his career of tennis since 1998. In 2003, Federer won his first championship in the tournament of Wimbledon and became the top one around the world in 2004. In 2005~2012, he accumulated 16 championship on grand slam. At the same time, he also became the fourth player who won three grand slam championships in a year. Until 2011, his rank of world-class declined to No.3. Federer is the representation of every part and he is considered as the one who can adapt every place, every tempo og competition and every kind of players. His unique skill and other traits let him set his own place in tennis, especially in the game of meadow. Federer and Nadal are seen as the greatest pair of opponent in the history of tennis. The set up so many wonderful games and made many magical records. Federer not only created the extraordinary achievement in tennis, but also attended many charitable activities.

Andy Murray:
Murray was born in Scotland in 1987 and became the

career tennis player in 2005. In 2009, his rank rose to No.2 and now he is the fourth player around the world. He is the one who still ranker in top 5 when Federer and Nadal dominate the world of tennis.

D.2012---Australia Open :
Every Chinese New Year, the most excited activity has to be Australia Open. In tennis, mens single is the most popular game. Because of the high quality, thousands of people are attracted to join the excited competition. Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, and Murray are called as Big4. They challenge the physical power and the limitation of willpower. As usual, the top 4 of Australia Open is also them. Some people might say Again! But, people are alive and the competition is also alive. If change other players to play the final games, it might not give us three high quality games.

Nadal vs. Federer is the typical pronunciation of tennis. Nadal was commented the failed season last year .In fact, he won so many second places, the whole season of tennis only cannot defeat Djokovic. But, to the man who purses the top place is not easily satisfied with this score. Although he was commented going downhill, he is still walk on the top, he just walk more slowly and no one could get beyond him. They devoted a beyond description competition. They have combated each other over 20 times and also can bring new ways to defeat each other. In the past, the short back of Nadal is backhand grip, but this year, the backhand grip became his sword. In the beginning, he used backhand grip to gain points. That was let Nadal have to think ways to defeat the attack of Federer. Nadal is always the defensible player, but this time, he attacked Federer in

front of the net instead of just staying behind the baseline. Their game was really excited. Although Federer was defeated by Nadal in the end, they really gave us a very wonderful performance.

Murray is not a very stable and pleasant player. Because Murray always express his personal temper in the competition, so many people considered that he didnt have enough capability and have no qualification to be mentioned in Big4. In this semi-final, Murray also happen this situation. He was failed because of his bad temper. When the score became 2:5, Murray started to fight in the calm mood. Although he was not defeat Djokovic, this lesson of this game might let him learn how to manage his temper.

2012 Australia Open

This year, Djokovic and Nadal gave us a very excited competition in the final game. The topic of this game is that Nadal was defeated by Djokovic last year; many people set a slogan to this game would Nadal break the curse to win the game or Djokovic would still hold his position? In the beginning of first three rounds, it was not very attracted. In first round, Djokovic made many mistakes might since he didnt adapt Nadals new ways in play tennis. In the second and third rounds, Nadal was not stable and became very anxious just like Murray. They started to play the game earnestly when the fourth round

started. Both of them started to express their skill if tennis to defeat each other. Nadal tried his best to win this round and let the score become 2:2. After they finished this round, the game had continued about 5 hours. Both two big boys were very tired. The final round of this game was not only the competition of skill but also the contest of their willpower and of the time. Nadal put his counter in the beginning and Djokovic adopted the way to stay behind the line to defeat Nadal. Although Nadal won the seventh round, Djokovic fought back immediately in the eighth round and let him won the horn of championship. They totally spent five hours and fifty-three minutes to finish this wonderful game. None of the spectators was not tired after watching this game, but Nadal and Djokovic were not only have strength to run but also give us the very high-leveled show in the final of Australia Open.
