Yeast Infection Treatment Options for Men and Women

Get Rid of that Annoying Yeast Infection!
If you're sick and tired of battling (and losing) a chronic yeast infection, we know exactly how you feel. That's why we have created this incredible guide that covers almost every aspect of yeast infections. When you're finished, you'll know what causes these infections and which yeast infection treatment is best for you. If you don't understand what causes them, you'll never be able to get rid of them. Find out what you can do - starting today - to get rid of that annoying yeast infection once and for all! doctors office. Of course that wouldnt have been as bad if I had ever gotten any real help for my issue. Many who know me already know that I fought a systemic yeast infection for 10 years until I had finally had enough. I then turned to the only source of information I had outside of my doctors the internet. And what a load of information I got!. I read everything I could and then had to piece together my own yeast infection treatment program. And guess what? It worked. I had argued and begged the doctors to look deeper into the root cause of what they simply saw as a recurring vaginal yeast infection. But it was much more than that. My immune system was not working properly so I was sick all the time. I was tired. I had a horrible toenail fungus that I could not get rid of. The list went on. As I got sicker I got sick and tired of it. So the real question here is whether or not people are smart and responsible enough to actually diagnose themselves and then choose the proper medication to treat it. I would say that in most cases, I think people are smart enough to do just that. Remember when you had to get a prescription for Prilosec and Tagamet to get rid of that chronic indigestion? Monistat for yeast infections? Those types of ailments seem basically simple to diagnose and treat, but theres always the risk of missing something thats indicative of a more serious underlying issue. The argument goes both ways.

Should Yeast Infection Treatment Be Taken Out of the Hands of Doctors?

Yeah, yeast infection treatment is one thing, but diabetes medication OTC?
Heres a great article I found on the subject. It does a nice job of presenting both sides and also talks about the financial implications of more self diagnosing and medicating.

I, for one, was extraordinarily happy when they started selling vaginal yeast infection treatment over the counter. It saved me a ton of time since I no longer had to take off work to sit in the

When the patient becomes the doctor: A move toward self-medication in the US

CMAJOver the decades, various ground-breaking drugs have slowly migrated to nonprescription status, making them much more widely used, from now-ubiquitous fluoride in the 1960s to antifungals for yeast infections and more recently, nicotinereplacement Read the entire article here: When the patient becomes the doctor: A move toward self-medication in the US CMAJ So what do you think about this debate? Do you think people should have the right to purchase certain medications over the counter that now are only available with prescription? So you think that the role of the pharmacist should be one that takes the place of a doctor? This is one of the most interesting debates Ive seen in a while and Ill be interested to see how it plays out. Lets hear what you have to say! A Cause of Cancer?
Candida is a part of the cause of most, if not all cancers. Doctors rarely, if ever, stop to think about candida, or parasite infection. And as a result their medicines only treat part of the cancer equation. In other walks of life it would be called: Neglect. There, Ive said it. I recently went to a cancer clinic in the USA, and to the Dove Clinic in the UK. At both I talked to the nurses. They were unanimous. Every cancer patient they see, man or woman, has bad candida. Whether it is breast cancer or prostate cancer. (It is most definitely true for my daughter with her brain tumour too). The problem is that these yeasts get everywhere. Whilst they might start off in your gut, they soon pass into the blood stream and then, like Alien, they are loose in the mother ship. And they make an alcohol as a by-product of their very existence, and this alcohol feeds cancer cells. Moreover Yeasts are anaerobes they dont use oxygen to metabolise and survive. If they move round your body and colonise an area of your breast or prostate they set up anaerobic conditions. And cancer thrives in situations where oxygen levels are lowered.

Yeast Infection and Cancer - Is There a Connection

Cancer Treatments Matters Worse!

Make

To repeat: cancer treatments make matters worse! Steroids and chemotherapy, for example, both heighten the effect of the yeasts, worsening the cancer cell feeding. Its like throwing babies to the sharks. But dont take my word for it, as I started the article above, try this comment from the prestigious US magazine Contemporary Oncology as long ago as April 1993: Cancer patients undergoing radio or chemotherapy did not finally succumb to the cancer itself, but to an infestation of candida albicans.

Ive heard rumblings over the years in the homeopathic community that there is definitely a connection between yeast infection and cancer. Is it true? I really have no idea since Im not a doctor but I personally believe the two could be connected. Im not talking about your run-of-the-mill vaginal or penile yeast infection, Im talking about systemic yeast infections. If youre not aware of what that is, you can read about it in detail here: Theres a very high probability that anyone being treated for cancer could have developed a yeast infection, simply due to the steroids and chemotherapy and other methods used to battle cancer. But the real question is Did the yeast infection actually cause the cancer in the first place or cause it to progress? Following is an excerpt from an article on the subject. I encourage you to read the entire article just follow the link.

I think its no secret that yeast (candida albicans) is a very dangerous condition that is taken way too lightly in the medical community. Of course Im not talking about all doctors but I can personally name a few I had to argue with about my own systemic yeast infection. They were so stubborn about being right. Im hoping that in time more medical doctors will start to seriously consider yeast more often as the root cause of some illness and conditions. In the meantime, seek out a homeopathic doctor if youre suffering from cancer and suspect that yeast may be playing a role. You may be able to change the outcome. How to Treat Heavy Metal Poisoning

Among other things, Chelation is one of the best ways to eliminated heavy metals from the body. Depending on how bad the poisoning is, you have a few options for Chelation. In severe cases, you are given the chelation intravenously. Youd first have to find a doctor that administers it. I would probably suggest a Naturopathic doctor with a medical degree. That way you get the best of both worlds. If your poisoning isnt as severe, you can take the chelation orally. It takes longer to work, but it does the job. If the heavy metal poisoning is caused by Mercury (amalgam) fillings, you should have those removed immediately. Dont let the dentist tell you they are harmless. In any case, dont take this lightly. Find a doctor to help you diagnose and treat your heavy metal poisoning. About Kim Newport Kim Newport is a writer and specialist in the Health and Beauty industries. Heavy Metal Poisoning and Yeast Infections

By Kim Newport on June 10th, 2012

It was once true that yeast infections were considered to be a problem that plagued only women, but we now know thats no longer the case. This is a condition that affects women, men and children. If left untreated, it can cause serious problems for your overall health. This can especially be true if the yeast infections are caused by heavy metal poisoning. Sounds a little more serious now, doesnt it? No yeast infection treatment in the world is going to help if you have heavy metal poisoning that you are not aware of and treating. Heavy metal poisoning results from the excessive build-up of metals within your body. It can enter the body by ingesting it, absorbing it or inhaling it. We are exposed to heavy metals by way of dental fillings, batteries, pesticides, alloys, textile dyes, steel, and more. Before heavy metal poisoning can be treated, it first has to be diagnosed. Thats where the disconnect usually happens. Many doctors dont look that deeply into the problem because they dont consider yeast infections to be serious. After all, its just a yeast infection, right? Read this except from an article on this subject: Practitioners have long observed that patients diagnosed with chronic fungal illnesses (Candidiasis and others), recurrent episodes o f bacterial infections (sinusitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, bladder/prostate infections) and chronic viral illnesses (EBV, CMV, HIV, herpes zoster, genital herpes, CFIDS, etc.) often experienced dramatic recoveries following treatment for heavy metal/mercury toxicity. Mercury itself is known to repress the immune system, and amalgam fillings are known to convey immunity to antibiotics, impairing the bodys own defence system. Heavy metal detoxification programs not only discourage the growth of yeast and unwanted bacteria, they routinely improve our overall immune response. The long and the short of it is this: candida, or yeast overgrowth, is a highly invasive symptom of a lesser known problem heavy metal toxicity. If we merely treat flare-ups of yeast infection, we fail to address the underlying cause and are powerless to eliminate recurrent infection and potentially greater problems. To take care of candida, we must address the cause, we must first take care of heavy metals. Source If your yeast infections are caused by heavy metal poisoning, this is very serious and you need to act on it immediately. The good news is that once its diagnosed, it can be successfully treated, but damage to the brain or liver may not be fully reversible.

The Best Yeast Infection Remedy is One that Works!

By Kim Newport on June 10th, 2012

Looking for the perfect yeast infection remedy is a little daunting because you dont want to just waste time and money using some concoction that either doesnt work or causes other problems. Most people rely on their doctor to prescribe something for the symptoms. Thats usually the problem for those people who suffer from chronic yeast infections. The medication you get from the doctor may only be treating your symptoms and not the actual cause of the yeast infection. Only treating symptoms may give you some temporary relief, but since the yeast is still in overgrowth mode, youll just continue to get one yeast infection after another until you cut off the head of the snake. You have got to get rid of the cause before youll ever get rid of the symptoms. Its very distressing to deal with this constantly. I know. Ive been in your shoes. And at some point, I got sick and tired of being sick and tired and I went on the hunt for a solution because my doctors werent helping me. Thats when I learned that homeopathic remedies and some good sense advice go a long way to get rid of yeast infections. Wouldnt you agree with that? Its that simple. It doesnt matter what your doctor says or what your best friends advises if their methods do not stop you from having recurring yeast infections. Getting rid of these infections is a muti-faceted approach. You have to kill the beast, you have to stop feeding it, and you have to determine what is causing it to begin with. Killing the beast (the yeast) is probably the easiest part because there are both homeopathic and medicinal products that will kill off the yeast. The other two parts are more difficult. People dont like to have to change their diet but this is essential if you really want to get rid of the infection.

Ive outlined in great detail about how to stop feeding the yeast infection. You can read that here: Yeast Free Diet The other difficult part is trying to determine whats causing it. Is it hormones? Some chemical in your detergent? Your sex partner? There are a lot of things that could be causing it that you probably havent even thought about. You can read about this in more detail here: Yeast Infection Causes

it didnt work at all until he added a few drops of white vinegar to it to a small blob of cream, and then it worked overnight. He also warned against applying straight vinegar, which he said eats right through the skin. Nuff said. Since posting that suggestion, Ive received quite a few emails from people whose doctors have recommended applying Monistat directly to the surface of the penis to cure yeast infections. Most say it works fine. So hey, I guess you can go ahead and try it, and if it doesnt start to work in a day or two, try adding a little vinegar. What do you have to lose? (Okay, maybe it could fall off.)

Best Natural Remedy for Yeast Infection

The best natural remedy for yeast infection involves an entire approach. One in particular that I think is excellent is Yeast Infection No More by Linda Allen. She has really put together one of the best programs Ive ever seen in regards to natural yeast infection cures. Its very comprehensive so you wont have to look anywhere else to find your answers. Ive written an article about the program that you can read here: Yeast Infection No More. If you arent interested in an in-depth program like Lindas, you can find a lot of the information here on this site. No matter what course of action you choose, I wish you the best of luck in getting rid of your yeast infection. PRESCRIPTION TREATMENTS
The only tried-and-true method of treating a penile yeast infection is to blast those yeasties with prescription drugs that are ingested systemically and probably have side-effects. Furthermore, procuring such drugs will almost always involve a trip to the doctor. Take heart, though, that your man almost certainly wont be subjected to stirrups and speculums. There are two drugs commonly used to treat penile yeast infections: Diflucan (fluconazole) which has the advantage of being broad spectrum, so it will kill other species of Candida and some other fungi, but the disadvantage that apparently allergies to it are not uncommon. Nizoral (ketaconazole) is apparently really broad spectrum, powerfully evil stuff, and kills everything. It can also trash your liver, and reduces the adrenals ability to make steroids, like testosterone. Source I think either of these make an excellent penile yeast infection treatment. Of course I prefer to do things in a more holistic way, so Id personally recommend doing the yogurt method first before getting either of those oral medications. Read what they say about the side effects. Who needs that? I went down that path before I finally realized those medications werent getting to the root of my problem. I just kept fighting the same fight over and over. It was very disheartening. As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, check out the program Yeast Infection No More. Its amazing and it may really be the only workable yeast infection treatment for men. About Kim Newport Kim Newport is a writer and specialist in the Health and Beauty industries. Great Yeast Infection Treatment for Men - Male Yeast Infection Cure
By Kim Newport on June 10th, 2012

Hey guys, if youre looking for an easy method to treat your penile yeast infection, I have a couple of options for you. They both involve a very easy yeast infection treatment for men suffering from a skin or penile yeast infection, but will not necessarily be of benefit for those who have more serious systemic yeast infections. In other words, if you have chronic and recurring yeast infections, you need to do something more drastic to find a male yeast infection cure. My suggestion is to get and read the book Yeast Infection No More because it outlines in great detail exactly what you need to do to stop the cycle. You can read more about it here: Yeast Infection No More The following is from an article I recently read on the subject and its really some good information on yeast infection treatment for men.

DO-IT-YOURSELF TREATMENTS
A while ago, i received an email from a gentleman who, on the advice of a doctor, had tried using an over-the-counter vaginal cream (Monistat) to treat his penile yeast infection. I guess he just rubbed the stuff on the outside of his penis. Anyway, he said that
