Question 1 Which is the best topology for Voltage below 300 KV? Answer:
All Transformers, which was explained, are excellent in certain condition for below 300KV. According to my point of view, Oil filled insulated steel tank transformer is preferable good because 1. It provides indoor, outdoor facilities 2. Can be used for continuously operation 3. Current rating up to 3A and voltage up to 400 KV or 1200KV 4. Perform cascade and no further insulation is required 5. Used minimum space 6. And its winding are capable of withstanding on flash over So according to these factors, I prefer this transformer for below 300KV

Question 2 When it is required to choose a parallel resonant circuit compared to a series resonant circuit? Answer:
Parallel resonant circuit is required when 1. This configuration is preferred for research work on AC corona, for tests of high loss elements 2. Maximum Independence 3. Where the capacitive load is relatively high and at the same time the active load component exceeds 5% or when the active component shows considerable variation in time typically during the tests of insulating systems. 4. The output voltage of parallel resonant system is independent of Q factor of the load and remains stable within the regulation curve of the transformer 5. No excitation transformer is available 6. Tunable reactor can be used on low voltage side to compensate the capacitive load

Question 3 Discuss a case where series resonant high voltage test system is preferred? Answer: CASE
We will use the serious resonant high voltage if we need 1. Natural overvoltage protection 2. Harmonics distortion attenuation 3. Required reactive power for high voltage testing of objects having large capacitance from relatively small power supplies 4. Voltage Amplification via quality factor 5. Low power input due to high capacitance 6. When active losses are less than 10% of the total load

Question 4 What are the limitations of resonant circuits considering the loads? Answer:
Limitation of series resonant circuits is; if we increase the resistive component of the load, The Q factor of the series resonant circuit will decrease. Qe = Replace Ql and Qc with values then Qe= So if Q factor decreased then Terminal voltage will also be decreased at constant excitation voltage Qe * Vext = Vt This means that we have low amplification at output. The output voltage of parallel resonant system independent of the Q factor of the load and remains stable within the regulation curve of the transformer.

Question 5 Why is a pre-load capacitor required when the load is light? Answer:
If the capacitance of the test object is relatively low and its active losses are relatively high, so to improve the Q factor of series resonant circuit, we use a preload capacitor. Qx = ( )

This low loss capacitor increases the capacitance of the circuit which increase the Q factor of a series resonant circuit and Q factor is directly proportional to terminal voltage if excitation voltage is constant If Vext(const.) then Q directly proportional to Vt
