June 17 - June 23, 2012

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter. PS=Power Surge (K5-2nd grade) HV=High Voltage (3rd-6th grade)

Pleading the blood is a declaration to the enemy and to each other that we are not victims of events and circumstances, but we have the greatest power, the blood of a risen Savior, to overcome the world. Psalms 119:154, Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to your promise.

The Blood of Jesus washes away our sins, and it heals our bodies. There is another important thing it does. In Psalm 103:4, the bible says, It redeems (or saves) our lives from destruction. We call this pleading the blood which is more like a legal term. When someone goes to court before a judge, the judge asks them the question, How do you plead? As Christians standing before God with our sin we can plead the blood of Jesus. We are all guilty of sin and deserve the death penalty, but if we asked Jesus to be our Savoir and Lord, we can say, I plead the blood of Jesus. In the same way when you are in danger you can shout, I plead the blood. This is like drawing a blood line around you that the devil cannot cross over. The blood protects you.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Apostles Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

This is His body that was broken for me. I will do this (communion) in remembrance of Him. Luke 22:19 He has not withheld even His beloved Son from me. Genesis 22:12 The spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel, heal the brokenhearted, and set the captives free. Luke 4:18
