REPORT ON PP-R PIPES

INTRODUCTION :PP-R - Polypropylene Random Copolymer Type 3 PP-R pipes are made with reference to the standard of DIN8077/8078 of Germany. There are three general types of polypropylene: homopolymer, random copolymer, and block copolymer. The comonomer used is typically ethylene. Ethylene-propylene rubber or EPDM added to polypropylene homopolymer increases its low temperature impact strength. Randomly polymerized ethylene monomer added to polypropylene homopolymer decreases the polymer crystallinity and makes the polymer more transparent.

APPLICATIONS:
Polypropylene random copolymers are thermoplastic resins produced through the polymerization of propylene, with ethylene links introduced in the polymer chain. The resins possess a broad range of characteristics and are used in a wide range of applications like:- Residential cold and hot water system - Underground heating system - Conveyor of industrial water and chemical material - Sanitary and pure water pipelines - Hot water recycling system - Compressed air pipelines - Drink manufacturing and conveying system - Other industrial and agricultural pipelines

Appearance/Shapes and how they correspond with Pipes theyre used with As mentioned before, pipe fittings come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. The various shapes are designed to correspond with the pipes that are being connected. The inside diameter of the pipe fitting needs to correspond with the outside diameter of the pipe that it is connecting to. The most common types of PP-R pipe fittings or pipe fittings made of other materials, include: elbows, tees, crosses, caps, plugs, nipples and street elbows. There are also more elaborate and less common pipe fittings including closet flange, clean-outs, sanitary tees and wye fittings.

What are PPR Pipe Fittings and other fittings used for? Each type of pipe fitting serves a different purpose and they can be used for many things. A lot of the time pipe fittings are used simple to connect two or more pieces of piping together to make one longer piece. Pipe fittings such as tees and crosses are used to connect two or more pieces of piping together to form junctions in the pipe system. This allows the material in the pipe to have a divided flow. Crosses are commonly used in fire sprinkler systems. Some pipe fittings, such as reduced elbows, are used to change between two different sizes of pipes. An elbow, for example, is used to allow a change of direction in the piping usually 90 or 45 degree angles. A cap pipe fitting is used to cover the end of a pipe and works in a similar manner to a plug, except a plug fits inside of the pipe instead of on the outside. More complex pipe fittings have a wide range of uses for example the trap primer is used to regularly inject water into small traps to help maintain water seals. This is most commonly used to keep sewer gases outside of buildings. Pipe fittings are an essential part of most plumbing and pipe systems, and there are very few systems that dont use some form of pipe fitting.

Things to Keep in Mind When Selecting Pipe Fittings :There are many things that we need to keep in mind when selecting pipe fittings, however the two most important things are: the type of material and the size of the pipe fitting. Material is an incredibly important part of selecting pipe fittings. Some materials are not suitable for certain uses, for example PVC pipe fittings should not be used for chemical or organic waste removal as the chemicals will corrode the pipes. Whereas, galvanized pipe fittings are great for chemical waste but cannot be used underground unless adequately protected. All the various materials used for pipe fittings have their advantages and disadvantages so it is important we do our research to find out which material is the best suited to our needs. Some materials also do not work well together many metals react badly with other metals and can result in electrolyte reactions and oxidation. The size of the pipe fitting is also very important. There is no point buying pipe fittings that will not fit onto pipes. Always choose pipe fittings that have an inside diameter that corresponds with the outside diameter of pipes.

PP-R Pipe Features 1)Public health, non-toxic: This product is a green building materials, can be used for pure water, drinking water pipeline system. 2) Anti-corrosive, non-scaling: We can avoid pipe corrosion caused by basin, bathrelated macular Worries about rust, may dispense with pipeline caused by corrosion and scaling Blockage. 3) High temperature, high pressure: piped water temperature up to 95 . 4) Insulation energy saving: thermal conductivity of metal pipes 1/200 only for excellent energy saving effect of hot water pipe insulation. 5) The quality of light: the proportion is only one-seventh of metal pipe. 6) Pleasing in appearance: product inside and outside the wall is smooth, fluid resistance small, soft colors, handsome in appearance. 7) Easy installation and reliable: The hot melt connection, a few seconds to complete, safe and reliable. 8) Long life: In the provision of long-term continuous working pressure, the use of the next life of up to 50 years.
