Project Lifecycle and Workflow Management Solutions

WEBcnx is the packaging industrys leading web-based project lifecycle and workflow management solution and is capable of bringing together all the players involved in the pre-press process through enhanced collaboration, process automation, and quality of information exchange. The result is increased efficiency and throughput and a significant reduction in design-to-production cycle times.
The versatility of WEBcnx means that no two installations are ever the same. When integrated with Impact CAD and Impact Enterprise, WEBcnx is the only workflow management solution that allows packaging companies to spread their design processes effectively across multiple locations. With WEBcnx, all the personnel in a business are able to access the information they need from wherever they are located, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A highly powerful project management tool, WEBcnx is capable of handling every aspect of every project from the first point of customer contact, through structural design, graphic design, virtual 3D sampling, design approval, tooling manufacture, plate making and production. Automated email notifications ensure that everybody involved in a project is made aware as key milestones are achieved, as well as reminding them of the tasks yet to be completed. As a result all projects retain high visibility throughout and are never ignored, misplaced or stuck with any individual for longer than is necessary. WEBcnx significantly reduces the amount of repeated daily procedures faced by packaging producers, simultaneously eliminating duplication of data entry and maintaining a secure, fully auditable record of every request, amendment and project-related document. An intuitive dashboard style interface makes WEBcnx easy to use, whilst the systems customisable reporting modules allow managers to analyse a diverse range of data enabling them to monitor the performance of personnel, departments and suppliers.

Standards Library module

Makes the use of design standards accessible to everyone. Gives design managers the option to delegate the production of simple standards-based projects to non-design personnel. Improves costing accuracy, because estimators use the same drawing data as designers.

Planning & Scheduling module

Allocate and monitor design tasks to make the most of your resources. Easy drag-and-drop allocation and re-allocation of tasks. Prevents project conflicts, under-utilisation and bottlenecks.

design Library module weBcnx-Impact Plug-in

Prompts structural designers to begin work on WEBcnx tasks. Transfers all relevant task data directly into the Impact project database. Creates a new project or opens an existing project for sample requests and design modifications. Makes your design assets securely available to anybody who needs them, when ever and where ever they are needed. Allows your customers to view their designs online. Suppliers can download designs and layouts in the format of their choice.

customer Portfolio management module

Provides a secure portal through which customers can view and review their design projects and associated documents.

Supply chain management module

digital Asset management module

Allows the storage of all project-related documents in one central location. Stored data can include artwork, job specifications, email exchanges and virtual 3D samples. Supports full project version control, revision histories and designer comments.

Eliminates manual formatting and reporting tasks.

Power reports module

Includes a fully documented reporting API, which allows developers to generate advanced and deeply integrated reports tailored to the specific needs of any packaging company. Operates as a reports server for a variety of applications.

Process Management and Automation

The process management features in WEBcnx provide the perfect answer to the daily challenges faced by packaging companies who want to increase quality, reduce errors and drive down costs. A clear and intuitive graphical user interface allows packaging professionals to automate the execution of repetitive tasks and processes that will minimise manual intervention, reduce hand-offs, and allow for the increased automation of decision making in the workflow.
These features have been designed to be easy to use and include highly visual feedback through a clear and intuitive graphical user interface. WEBcnx process management and automation minimises operator intervention, reduces hand-offs and allows for the increased automation of decisions and routing in the workflow.

Example: Design Enquiry

In the following example, a new enquiry requires a structural design to be produced and physical samples to be sent to the customer. Only when the customer approves the samples is a quotation raised. The sales person will be responsible for initiating the workflow and will be prompted to enter the job information and fill out the details in a Master Enquiry task. This task contains all of the enquiry information, including the design, sample and pricing requirements. Once the task has been submitted, a Design Request and dependent Sample Request are added automatically and all data is value mapped from the Master Enquiry. If any auto-published tasks fail, the sales person is notified by email automatically. Once the design is complete and samples approved, a Quote Request task is created and data is automatically passed to the ERP system via the integration plug-in. The sales person is notified that a quote has been generated and this part of the workflow is complete without any manual intervention. At this point the workflow has branched, as the Quote Request requires the design to be completed and the Design Request status and Sample Approval task (task modification) to be updated.
